So Mick McCarthy comes up Derby way to play golf?

People might remember that when we were last looking for a manager I posted on here that I had had a message that it was to be Rowett. The same chap told me in January, when the interest from Stoke was first in the news, that Rowett wanted to go. I subsequently discounted it when Rowett signed his new contract but now it looks as though that was also true. Anyway, the same source sent me a message today to say that Lampard and Jody Morris will be our dream duo. I’ve no idea if it will be true, and I hope it isn’t, but there it is anyway.

Thanks Vidal. If and when this happens I welcome it as an opportunity. When everything else fails......try something different. Exciting times ahead

Jody Morris might bring half the Chelsea youth team with him which I think is 6 times the size of our current squad.

Frank Lampard might be a player manager coming on for the last 5 mins and linking up with Chris Martin's acrobatic falls, to thunder home a few free kicks.

Lampard and Morris have access to some peer support from 'Arry and Daddy Frankie.

That's the good news, let's hope it works out if it is true. Wonder if 'Arry would be DoF and how that would affect him and Mel's close relationship.

I wionder if Avram Grant was playing golf just to make up the numbers or whether he might be involved in a Director of Football role? He’s done that before a few times as well as coaching. He’s in charge of an Indian club at the moment.

Bobby Charlton was one of the best footballers this country has ever produced. Bobby Moore was pretty good (not as good as Colin Todd), Billy Wright was good, there have been tons of brilliant international players. How many of them made good managers?

This Lampard circus will finish us off for good. Let him start at a smaller club and see how he gets on, then if he does well he will go to his beloved Chelsea. If he did well for us he will be gone down south.

We must sign an experienced manager like Dean Smith or Warburton. Please not Mick or Darren.
