They 'll al, be on loanagain next season judging by our standards,

Bearing in mind we have Moses and Zappacosta treading water in the RWB position, I'd love to see them replaced by Sterling and James in a heartbeat

I'd like to see what Van Ginkel has to offer as well.

At 25 surely we can't loan him again - he should be given a chance or we should do the decent thing and give him a permanent move!

Loftus-Cheek - Keep
Mason Mount - Loan
Ethan Ampadu - Keep
Michy Batshuayi - Sell
Hudson-Odoi - Keep

I'd Play the 3 above in the EL.

Watching Hudson-Odoi against Newcastle and Bournemouth he was one of the stand outs on the pitch, He linked up well with Hazard also, He is better than Pedro right now IMO. The kid needs nore game time!

Ampadu is like David Luiz without the aggression, Hes a cracking talent who like Hudson-Odoi is ready to step in and play cup games and play a decent amount of time in the league. Special young talent.

I'd be included to keep Mount...shown that he can make those late Lampard-esq runs into the box to score, timing them perfectly is a skill.
As well as being a very technical eye of a needle passer on the ball.

Marco van Ginkel has to be sold.

posted on 24/5/18

Realistically we wont keep all of Drinkwater, Fabregas, Mount, Van Ginkel, Loftus-Cheek and Ampadu on top of signing either Seri or Jorginho.

So who do we expect to sell/loan?

My guess is Drinkwater and Van Ginkel to be sold, Fabregas and Loftus-Cheek cheek to be kept with Ampadu and Mount to get a loan move.

If we're going to predominantly play with 3 in midfield next season then we should have 5 midfielders minimum.

If I had my way Chavy; Fabregas, Barkley, Drinkwater, Moses, Zappacosta, Bakayoko, would all be sold.

If we didn't sign replacements for all of them, there are youth players I can think of to fill any gaps left in the squad.

The more I've seen of Sterling this season, less convinced he'd work as a right-sided defender. Idle defending. Regressed.

Reece James on the other hand...

Getting rid of four homegrown players In Fabregas, DW, Barkley and Moses doesn't sound like a good idea.

Charlag how did you come the assumptions of the picks? Didn't Van Ginkel lead his team to the title as captain? Surely he's worth trying next to kante? I have never watched him.

I still like the idea of Fabregas being around the team in a lesser role if im honest, He was incredibly effective in 2016/17 from the bench, He ended up with 2 goals and around 12/13 assists. I stress tho...a reduced role!

Id also like to see Barkley get a full preseason behind him and given a chance now that hes here.

Actually think Fab would be good for man utd next to Matic and Pogba. Give them a bit of creativity and play that role pirlo did for juve.

Nick

Yeah, I'd have definitely had Van Ginkel but I just don't see him as a Chelsea player - he's captaining another side

I think he's definitely gone - if not, then yes I'd definitely add him to the list.

What type of player is Van Ginkel? I can honestly say I dont watch dutch football and the one game I did watch him he got that bad injury

Van Ginkel is an attacking central midfielder. He has and eye for a pass and for goal as well. He's had a very good season at Vitesse and was described by a team mate as the best loan player the club has had.
After KDB error we need to be careful as to who we let go.

Not over Alonso, I don't think Emerson has alot of quality.. he's quick and that's about it

There are always at least 4 players we need to move on before we even think about the left wingback spot.

Morata and Bakayoko the first 2 on the list

As always I believe 10 games on a row is the only way to judge a player.
