Cheers for the post bro. Enjoyed reading that and it sucks that they took the dates etc. away.
Amongst everything disappointing for you lot during the night - you got to see 'that goal Bale scored' which is just epic in its own right.
Safe trip back to London.
From a fans point of view the occasion and experience is greater than the result. I give credit to the travelling fans because I'm not sure I would make that trip.
Madrid have players that know the occasion. Your keeper is an unfortunate example of nervousness. Thought Andy Robertson, and the rest of the back four really stepped up. I thought when Salah went off was a moment you needed Gerrard or similar
Cheers for the comments lads, bit more added and pics and clips.
Yes concur.. when Ramos was acting out Gerrard would have put him in his place as would Suarez
MO's character is to be a nice guy, Hendo is a model professional but not a fighter. Discussing with an older fan in Kiev this evening, he said once that happened Souness would have gone up to him told him he's a dead man walking and would have dealt with him.
it sucks that they took the dates etc. away.

Looking on the bright side, didn't take my bounty or kebab.
A very good read.
I watched the game on a ‘phone whilst working the current set of nights (yes, at my time of life!) in the middle of nowhere. Terrible disappointment in the end as this was the one match I’d been looking forward to for weeks. I couldn’t watch the trophy presentation.
The high/low rise reminds me of those I saw in the old Eastern Bloc Germany (Jena) many years ago-together with what appeared to be bullet holes in the walls.

Good read.
Looking again at the Salah incident, it does look like Salah was the one to lock arms and it was him running into Ramos' leg that sent the pair of them down. I don't think Ramos would have lost any sleep over it, but I don't think he had any control over the incident, certainly not to the extent of purposefully injuring him

Nice read.
Places likes Ukraine and Russia always get a bad press from our media. We love to promote these places as some sort of Natzi havan when it couldn’t be fairer from the truth.
Sure they have elements but we also have the same here.
Great read
Thanks for sharing
Despite me staying in one of the dodgiest looking unglamorous places going as a communist era tower block (see Jnr in IT here https://imgur.com/a/j3E9UNu ) still had 20gig download and a massive 40 gig upload! ( https://imgur.com/a/tnJrjqK )

Looks like inner city Birmingham to me,you sure you were in Kiev?
The move by Ramos was deliberate, the outcome - Mo off, in agony - probably unintended.
Sourness on the pitch? What if it had been Tommy Smith? The surgeons would still be trying to put Ramos back together again. And still be on the pitch too,two days later.
Looking at some of the challenges from Naby Keita I’m not sure we will have the same lack of spine next season.
Every team needs a dirty player. Same in ice hockey, put a 300 pound gorilla on the bench in case somebody tries one on your best player.

I dunno if you watch it again it is Salah who initiates the contact, both in locking arms and sending them to the floor.
I think if it'd have been Varane people would be calling it a freak incident, but because it's Ramos it's now an intentional thing.

Good read and sounds as though you’re still delighted you went and experienced it despite the result. That’s what football is about for me.
Yeah of course you’ll be bitterly disappointed you didn’t win but the memories you’ve created being there with fellow fans in the streets will last forever.
Think that’s really my point when some fans come on the spurs board giving it saying “yeah but what have you won”. These people don’t tend to go to games. The season and football isn’t solely about a trophy. I’ve enjoyed many games and nights an AWFUL lot more than the 2008 league cup. Don’t remember that day all that fondly particularly. Sure it was good. But I can vividly recall others and they still make me smile.
Anyway. Yes, it wasn’t the ending to the trip you hoped for but you and your boy will reminisce about that for a long time to come.
If it had been Salah’s other arm then the two players would have rolled into the fall together probably with Ramos going over him. It would have hurt but I don’t think he would have had to go off. Because it was the arm furthest away from Ramos and the way they fell, I’m not surprised he was in so much pain.

Not copying and pasting your whole comment, but aaaaabsolutely just that.
RITH report, admin JA606 servers are too slow to respond to Ukraine requests the page wouldn't load.

Due to the volume of hacking/denial of service attempts on our servers from Russia, Ukraine and China. We actively block connections from those areas. As soon as we have 6 or so from that country we block the entire county's list of ip addresses.
There was a Man City fan that travelled back from Kiev to Warsaw. He'd prebooked the trip at the start of the season - and yeah that is what football is about. You hope your team will make it and you'll have a great time.
He had a great time, except that on the Kiev to Warsaw let he'd left his passport in his bag which they'd taken off him at the gate to put in the hold!
You can't buy experiences like that, you just have to take them as they come.
And like that Man City fan, Reds are already looking forward to booking Madrid seats and hotels, and if we don't make it to the final, they'll go anyway.
I'll do that too. Might do an epic road trip with Jnr if we do get there though and sack off the £20 ryanair flight.

Do you know how many times I load up JA606 a day?
So you blocked it thinking I was a hacker!
So if anyone's going to Russia or China you have to make sure you tell your bank, AND Admin1
