Fist pumping and shouting “GET IN” a lot only works for a few games Strett.
As Iwas says Psycho was a bit thick and was unable to articulate his ideas to the team once the early euphoria wore off.

I’m not saying Frank will be a success but he isn’t thick.

Ere, who are you calling fick?

If I remember correctly Forest were at the top of the Championship in September. It was only when Pearce started to manage the team that they went down hill.

You’re mistaken, Spart. As per.

posted on 2/6/18

Spart, I think it was more that his kick and rush football can only get you so far and once teams started to wise up to it and nullify it he had no other ideas, because he's thick.

When we beat Fulham 5 1, Forest won 4 0 against Reading to go top of the Championship. I am never wrong Strett. I leave that to lesser mortals such as yourself.

This is true and one of the definitive points of JA606. Spart is never wrong. Ever.

Accept this and life gets much easier

Yes. Pearce was manager then, Forest were top.
You said he wasn’t managing the team when top of the league.

You mentioned that Lampard was away for world cup punditry, well so was Pearce and it didn't seem to affect Forest. Only when he was up to speed, managing full time did the team start to fail.

Hi all, been full on absent again due to a lot of musical commitments - suffice to say it's been a rollercoaster since I last appeared..and now Mr. Lampard is with us. First thoughts were "oh...no."
Second thoughts are these:

He's intelligent, he's ambitious, he demands work rate and he's box office. The Rams are bloody everywhere this week!

So, welcome Frank, let's do this.

‘It was only when pearce started to manage the team that they went downhill’.

Who was manager then?

posted on 2/6/18

Probably no one as Forest were winning.

Anyone else get the feeling that our strett is a little envious of our latest appointment as in green with

Monday morning Karwanker or Friday feeling Frank

Welcome back Moja

Moj,

I too have been absent but watching from a distance. This appointment has stirred up some excitement, it’s the unknown and I like the way he speaks. As you said, the talk of Derby is everywhere at the minute and it’s all positive for once.

And I fly home tonight 👍👍👍👍👍

Sooooooo.... John Terry..... How do we feel about it?

Selected in the Championship team of the year, but surely will command a hefty wage, which goes against what we have been led to believe about slashing the wage bill. Great for the dressing room, not so good for the Wags. I am torn on this one.

posted on 3/6/18

Yet he wasn't his team's player of year, his center back partner was; Chester. May be he got there due to his name rather than the season he had.

Too old, too slow and more than likely, too expensive. If he replaces Davies I'd be mortified.

Here's hoping being absolute garbage at international level doesn't make Super Jonny Russell "fall out of live with the game" again

I'd much rather we didn't bring in Terry, even if it would be for Keogh... horrible man.

posted on 3/6/18

If terry came it would seem to be a "jobs for the boys" signing. However, the reports suggest a "significant pay cut", i dont imagine more than 20k a week will be allowed for him. I would hope he would be a backup, or at a push replace Keogh, I certainly wouldn't want Davies to step aside for him. Whatever his downfalls as a person, what can't be argued is that he is one of the all time great defenders and, like Frank, has won everything there is to win at club level, massively experienced etc and surely that must be a positive. Maybe he is getting his coaching badges and Frank is bringing him in with a view to eventually making him our defense coach and/or assistant manager. I made a similar remark about our forward and midfield players having frank to learn from, the same goes for John regarding the defensive side, if I was a 17 year old defender at the club looking to improve my game, I would be massively excited about the prospect of having John come in to give me advice. Everything at the minute is just paper talk and conjecture. Do I want him at derby? As a man, no. As a footballer on acceptable terms looking at the big picture of what he could potentially bring to the table, begrudgingly probably yes.

Quote from Lampard about the World Cup:

"It doesn't interfere with the Derby pre-season," said Lampard. I will fulfil that commitment because that's how I am. It will be nice to be out there looking at players, although that's not to say I'll be scouting Messi, but I'll be fully prepared. It will be my last commitment before I go full pelt into this, because this job (at Derby) is too big, this job has to take everything, all my concentration and attention, and it will do."

Lampard will be doing punditry for the BBC, Strett, not their traditional arch rivals ITV.

You make a lot of comments on here, yet I can't recall a single occasion where it did not end with you humiliating yourself in one way or another with some sort of basic error. It's quite fascinating to see such unvarying ineptitude and hard to believe that such constant imbecility could be inadvertent.

BBC, ITV it’s not important and barely worth mentioning.
What is important, though is he has taken the job at Derby and won’t be there. How do you feel about that Vidal?
