Whenever an article like this is posted it will inevitably be ridiculed by supporters of other clubs and in fairness you probably do have to be a Spurs fan to understand how right Sandy is.

Whenever Spurs are the centre of attention whether it be for a good/bad result or the build up or analysis of a big match the media (Shearers the worst) will generally add a little comment about us needing to pay our players more or the crops will fail.

You don't hear a caveat when City or Chelsea play like "they were nothing until they got their oil lottery win" yet we are expected to tolerate it on a continual basis.

The one thing I'm especially tired of is how the media bang on about how we 'underpay' our players.

Humouring them in even considering paying players £50-100k per WEEK not enough, why is keeping the wage bill small a bad thing??

If anything Spurs should be continuously praised in the media for being the only remaining top team not succumbing to the ridiculous financial demands of players and agents. But no, it's as if Levy has them shackled in a dungeon, only feeding them bread and water before a quick Saturday runaround.

I think it's applauded but unless you pay market value you won't be able to compete. Would you do your job for half of what you'd be worth elsewhere?

If I'm happy to do my job for half of what I'm worth elsewhere then my current employer should be widely applauded, no? Kane etc. are hardly complaining about their wages, weirdly it's pundits and papers complaining on their behalf.

Silly analogy anyway as we all know professional footballers do not have normal jobs.
