There is nothing sad about this FFS
I'm delighted that Emery has come in and seemingly told Jack that being an 'Arsenal lad' won't guarantee him a spot in the squad every week. "Footballing reasons" is a straight up excuse for "not willing to fight for my place" and Jack should 100% be shown the door for that.
Good riddance. I'm hoping Emery has a few more of these conversations before the new season begins.

I'm delighted that Emery has come in and seemingly told Jack that being an 'Arsenal lad' won't guarantee him a spot in the squad every week. "Footballing reasons" is a straight up excuse for "not willing to fight for my place" and Jack should 100% be shown the door for that.
Good riddance. I'm hoping Emery has a few more of these conversations before the new season begins.

Deep down I am sad to see him go. He deeply loved the club. Unfortunately, he will never be fit long enough to command a starting place in the team, which is what he wants. I wish him well but I don't see his career getting any higher than a mid-table PL club. I suspect he will join Wolves

I have pretty much the same view as Southgate on Wilshere - he seemed to be improving game by game in the earlier part of the season but just as I expected him to kick in and get back to his brilliant best he instead regressed badly - he had 4 games in a row, 3 as a starter and 1 as a substitute where he was bang average at best. He looked weak, lacked creativity and was falling down under pressure too easily. I was shocked and disappointed. In the last few games he started to show something like his old self again but overall his stats are just no good enough.
Can he ever deliver on his potential? Maybe, but after a season at Bournemouth and one at Arsenal without doing so I am beginning to wonder...

Are you seriously latching onto another club's successes and using it as a stick to beat us with, simply because your own team are incapable of winning anything at all? How incredibly sad.
Jack's Arsenal career may not have gone the way we all hoped, but at least he had the pleasure of competing in multiple cup finals, winning 2 FA Cups along the way.
That is a luxury which none of the Tottenham players have ever experienced .
Not only that but he was facking 17 or 18 when we lost against Birmingham
A grown man taking pleasure in a teenagers tears when his team lost a final. Lesley isn't the only one either.
