Didn't like her voice or her style. Nothing to do with her gender, she just was a crap commentator.
Not a fan of her schoolboy voice
Terrible commentary. Got to have the enthusiasm not just the words. BBC have some great main commentators, not sure why they feel the need to give it to someone who's going to put everyone to sleep.
Oh, those women, you know? Mmmmm….Women in football? Sparks, broke the mold. Theory out the window. Free expression. Diversity. Mmmm…..You know?
Far cry from small boys in the park, jumpers for goalposts. Rush goalie. Two at the back, three in the middle, four up front, one's gone home for his tea. Beans on toast? Possibly, don't quote me on that.
Marvelous.

Good banter.
If she’s good then why not. If she’s just a token...
In making the decision on whether you should become a commentator, I'd recommend one of the following:
Know your shiitt
Or
Know you're shiitt
I think in this case neither of these was considered.
DJ fancy looking up the handball rule? You seem adamant on your dictatorship/article that it was a penalty for handball. You've either never played the game or have never looked at the rules. It NEEDS to be deliberate. Sorry for the actual football comment but you needed correcting 😉 it's a learning process and we can all learn a bit about the game from eachother😜
She's a perfectly fine commentator, but there are others I'd have rather had.
Dint see her so can't comment on any specifics about her commentary.
There are many many terrible male commentators on all kinds of sports, so how good you are doesn't necessarily feature on whether you get a job commentating.
Exhibit A: Clive Tyldesley, is effectively at the top of the tree for football commentary. Hes terrible.
Why would this be any different for women...
No issue with female commentators, but as others have already said she just isn't very good.
there is a female commentator on the Aus -Den game on the German ZDF TV she is quite good I must say.

yet we've seen penalties given on a goalline when the ball has accidently hit their hand.. i dont see why it being deliberate matters if its stopping a certain goal..

I shall help you, was it deliberate handball?
HANDLING THE BALL
Handling the ball involves a deliberate act of a player making contact with the ball with the hand or arm.
The following must be considered:
the movement of the hand towards the ball (not the ball towards the hand)
the distance between the opponent and the ball (unexpected ball)
the position of the hand does not necessarily mean that there is an offence
touching the ball with an object held in the hand (clothing, shinguard, etc.) is an offence
hitting the ball with a thrown object (boot, shinguard, etc.) is an offence
The goalkeeper has the same restrictions on handling the ball as any other player outside the penalty area. Inside their penalty area, the goalkeeper cannot be guilty of a handling offence incurring a direct free kick or any related sanction but can be guilty of handling offences that incur an indirect free kick.

So why do you think it was a penalty, based on what is in the rules?
Regarding the point that sometimes we see them given when it just hits their hand and it's not deliberate, remember that penalties are often given when it was actually a dive. This does not mean that other dives should be awarded with penalties. It was simply a case of the ref getting it wrong.
