Only a 9 hole golf course. If they can’t deliver a full 18 hole links course I expect them to do the right thing and leave.

9 hole golf course is very disappointing
Especially as its being built over a golf course,,
Another missed opportunity !!
Get some professional golfers in to help
design a good 18 hole course,
The K-club spent a couple of million on there
Site, within 3 yrs they were holding the master's their!
Bet rudkin can't play more then pitch & put!
We know who to blame,,

Guys this is clearly Rudkins fault once again.
He’s not bothered to cough up the money. £80m in today’s market is peanuts - this should have been bigger than St George’s Park - where’s the ambition?!

And why Seagrave? Everyone knows it’s a haunted
Village. So now the players have got to put up with paranormal activity while they’re trying to focus on defending set pieces. Ridiculous

I think you’re right Mersey - it’s time for the owners to get out

Bringing the sea into Leicestershire might take a little more than £80m unfortunately. Or wait for the ice caps to melt.

"Why havent we built some kind of marble statue of Pearson instead?"

--------

On second thoughts, a links course might be cheaper.

Golf course seems strange, I'm sure the players who like golf are already members at the best course in the area.

I must, the designs look impressive.

Busby - the strange thing is that they're turning an existing 18-hole golf course into a 9-hole golf course plus a training facility. I'm not sure what it adds either, because there are other golf courses not too far away in the Leicestershire countryside. But perhaps if they do that then they can hold business conferences there, have private leisure facilities, etc. Perhaps they're just leaving nine of the existing holes untouched but had to buy the whole plot of land. Or maybe it's a place to expand as, when and if required.

Yeah it would be good for commercial purposes I guess. Maybe Sponsors etc will lap it up too.

However the maintenance of a golf course is neither cheap nor easy.

I tell you what it is Dunge - it’s a shambles.

Busby - I've played on 9-hole pitch-and-putts up on the North Yorkshire moors. Maintenance barely came into the equation for them.

BS - I think it's usually around this point that you threaten to post some form of bodily function through someone's letterbox.

Nice little pub in Seagrave, though that will be off limits. Maybe they're planning to rename King Street Kingpower Street?

Vulpes - I reckon now is the time to start thinking about purchasing the village shop and stocking some snoods.

It had crossed my mind Dunge, but it think the project might fail as I'm not entirely sure what a snood is, so I'd probably end up ordering a load of cloth bags for keeping unmarried womens' hair in place.

FFS, you must have a ar$e like a collander if it's got 9 holes...

BS - Why ruin a perfectly good bit of Nev wummery? It read fine up to the point where you let your emotions get the better of you and put some accurate facts in.

I am of course referring to what is clearly your genuine desire to see the true architect of our PL win, the great Nige, properly recognised with a statue (what an excellent idea btw).

So close to being a great wum - must control your true feelings better in future!
