It's not about being the best or worst.
It's a cup competition.
Germany and Brazil are (were) far better than any of the teams left.
Any of those left could equally be thought of as favourites or outsiders. England have a weak squad but could very well fluke it, Belgium have a great squad but will probably fluff it.
Over-rated bunch of diving cheaters rightly sent home by a far superior side. I am very happy about this.
The Belgium v France game will be very close, too close to call, but whoever wins will be the favourite to win the cup. I predicted a possible Belgium v Sweden final before the knock-out stages, and it's still a real possibility. Obviously I want England to win it,and we do have a chance, but then, everyone does this time! Great world cup so far - all the cheaters are gone, happy days!
Well, at least the "one player" teams are out now. The teams still in may have a go-to man, but all have other players of quality that step up if their main guys is having a bad day at the office. Belgium seem to have an incredible team spirit right now, which is something I frankly haven't seen in them before. Martinez has done well and they are going to be a chore for anyone. 4 years ago they would not have pulled off that rally against Japan.
