Belgium's best player was Hazard technically.He doesn't roll on the floor and moan or complain to thecreferee despite him getting more fouls and kicks than any other player in Premier League unlike some other moaners and dramatic artists like Cristiano Ronaldo,Neymar,Dele Alli,Raheem Sterling etc.

Lukaku was good in the 1st half. Went missing in the 2nd half. Fellaini was solid throughout the game. Dominated Neymar.
Sometimes it takes more than scoring goals to be considered in the elite.

It does take more than scoring goals to be an elite player. But conversely the '3rd best player in the world' should be scoring a lot more than Hazard does.
If he did score more goals that would be a very hard case to argue, cos he's got pretty much everything else.

Ronaldinho was inarguably the best player in the world in his prime, he was hardly a goal machine.
Randomer Hazard is great but he is not in the same league as Ronaldinho.His skill set,his ability and his runs plus dodging and dribbling was different and unique even if we consider Hazard as a great player.Both are different types of players.Ronaldinho had a direct impact on almost every match while Hazard seems to drift in and out of matches.

Hazard is an attacking midfielder, therefore if he's to get the title of top 3 in the world he HAS to score more goals than he does. No bias against other players being considered if they play in deeper roles.
Players like Messi, Ronaldo, Suarez, Bale & Neymar have changed the landscape. If you play in any attacking position high up the pitch you HAVE to bag 20 a season minimum to be considered in that top echelon now.
Hazard plays for the Belgium golden generation. World class keeper, world class defence, excellent midfield with the best Belgium KDB and then he has a 90m striker.
Salah with one arm, no training and a horrendous Egypt team still managed 2 goals in 2 games which is the same total as Hazard whole tournament.
You notice all the players you mention play for Barca or Madrid? Hazard would score buckets in those teams. And it’s getting more and more likely we’ll see him do it if he keeps playing the way he is in this tournament.
Not fair to judge Hazard on goals when he’s played mostly in more defensive systems during his time here against people who have been playing for Madrid and Barca for years, the absolute elite teams who dominate pretty much every match they play.

Don't buy that argument at all. Ronaldo, Suarez & Bale dominated the PL for two solid seasons before getting those moves, something Hazard hasn't done yet and times running out for him to do so.
Also don't buy the defensive systems argument either. At Liverpool Suarez did have an attacking manager but one who was found wanting tactically, and became utterly exposed the second he lost him. Bale had a similar tactically inept manager in Redknapp and really flourished in a very defensive AVB setup in his last Spurs season. Under Conte the overall setup has been defensive but it's equally been a platform for Hazard to attack (similar to AVB/Bale), he's one of the few players allowed creative freedom in it, so he has no excuse.
He's solid top 10 in the world. Just not top 3, not even close.

We've also had two seasons in between where we finished 10th and 5th, and Hazard was arguably our worst player for three quarters of one of them. The difference between him, Suarez & Bale is he's proven incapable to carrying us at our worst. That's the measure of him as an individual player without the support Suarez & Bale largely lacked themselves in the PL, and in those moments he's shown he's not on their level.
Drogba was a very interesting case, and quite relevant to my argument funnily enough. Gomez was an out and out goalscorer who relied on good support, so yes I would have Drogba over him. But would I have Drogba over Lewandowski? Or Ibra in his prime? Honesty no I wouldn't, because they are/were complete forwards who also happened to contribute more goals on a season by season basis consistently than Drogba did.
