if you asked any England fan before this started about England reaching the final they would have said that the next WC was the target

England need a Gazza to unlock teams. Said it last week and I stand by it. They need a creative midfielder better than Alli. What they would give for a young fit Gazza again.

I would have to say, it is the first time in my life that I've actually liked the manager & players in the England team. No longer have the dregs of society like Terry, Gerrard or Rooney. Most of them are young, ambitious, skilful likeable lads. A few are diving wee scrotes, but that's about it.

Plus a few of their Twitter accounts are genuinely hilarious, which helps.
