I love our business thus far. We don't really need too many players for now.
Only disappointment was losing out on Jorginho.

Can't comment for the other clubs, but your thoughts about Arsenal seem pretty fair. Can't argue with that.

More positive news for Arsenal, the Times are saying Everton are in for Danny Welbeck.

United are my dark horse for this coming season.
Mourinho knows how to gring out results and if any team other than City would win it next season, my money will be on United.
Klopp struggles with teams that park the bus and that will be the undoing of Liverpool.

“Tottenham Hotspur. Someone wake Poch and Levy up. Cheers “

Still got two weeks before that happens

Always good if you can weaken a rival through transfers...

Said the Arsenal supporters.

I like Welbz, but it's not really worked out for him at the Emirates. Probably a decent deal for all concerned, if it happens.

I'm leaning more towards the wheels coming off at United than a challenge for them. Hard to call them really, a change of system/manager and they could be a totally different proposition.

Jose has made average defenders good at united and good attackers average maybe that will change with a more balanced window. Buying players for the roles rather than buying the name and trying to find them a role should help.

Welbeck is a decent player but he's not a good enough finisher. If Silva has any sense he'll use him as a LW or supporting striker.

I'd happily take Fabregas at UTD if he is surplus to needs at Chelsea.

Aye, pretty fair assessment on Arsenal. I would say the essentials have been addressed, though i'd like one CB to cover that area.

I suppose the next step we need to address now is getting rid of the dross, and boy we have plenty. Only then can i see us doing more business. We need another wide attacker, imo.

Decent business done by all clubs so far, from a Spurs point of view hopefully we'll follow suit by either keeping or adequately replacing Toby, Rose and Dembele and adding a player who could cover for Kane and play on the wing (Martial or someone similar) and a stellar CM (Kovacic, Savic etc).

Feel the season will be very similar to 17/18, with us hopefully being consistent enough over the season to stay in the top 4. Hoping Chelsea's and Arsenal's new Manager bedding in, plus the horrible distraction that is the Europa League, will help us on the way.

I would be encouraged if I was an Arsenal fan, that kind of malaise isn't resolved overnight but Emery has went after signings in areas most people bar Wenger realised needed addressing.

I'd like to see you's go for Zaha.

as a natural finisher Welbeck is actually pretty decent.
if the ball falls to him and its instinctive he will hit the back of the net quite often.

the problem for welbeck is he lacks any kind of composure when he has time to think.

Only City had a better record against teams outside the top six. It was our h2h games against top six that held us back. Other than that good post.

The Grealish rumour won't go away. At 30m-40m i wouldn't even be considering it.

Would be surprised if Spurs spent that on nos head.

I think every Gooner (barring the idiots, Godfather, Peterbaey, Gunnerthru, etc) are hopeful that Emery would at least bring some defensive structure to the team without compromising the attack too much, but perhaps not that much hopeful of getting top 4. A trophy would be nice, but in no way essential.

Wenger did leave the squad in a mess so it'll take time for the rebuild job.

I thought Liverpool always raise their game against top sides?
But to finish 25 points behind City would not be down solely to H2H games against the top 6 though?

Looking likely you can add Alisson to Liverpool's transfer business if reports are to be believed.

Pool's defense shored up well when they signed VVD. With him and Dejan "World best defender" Lovren, they should have a decent season.

Not sure about Fabinho and Keita. Could go either way.

Personally, i'd be choking with laughter if they signed Allision for £75m. He's barely better than what they have. Grossly overrated keeper. For an extra £5m they could activate Oblak's release clause and have probably the best keeper in the world.

Nobody said that did they. You indicated we would fall down again due to our issues against teams that park the bus. That wasn't the case last year as only two side really parked the bus and we didn't break down. Our issue was only taking 3 points out of 18 available against Spurs, United and Chelsea.

Yes we had a worse record than City with both.
