Point being we need more from Central midfield, Dier & Wanyama are defense first, Sissoko is waste of space, Winks is hurt more than he's fit & is lightweight and as great as Dembele is at retaining possession/ setting tempo, he doesn't score or create enough and doesn't offer much defensively. It makes us easier to defend against, esp by those teams who come to park the bus by crowding the space in the middle making it harder for Eriksen & Dele to operate. A new CM is MUST for us this season especially having lost Walker's pace & Rose (not the same since injury) out wide

I like Zaha, would be pleased to see him rock up at Spurs.

Can win you a game out of nothing and has got much better recently.

He is hit and miss, just like Son is. Put some decent numbers up last season, but hasn’t done it consistently to warrant such a price tag. Similar numbers to Malcolm who’s just joined Barca for about £36m

used to, not so much anymore. It's more so we are flexible in the forward positions rather than just having a donkey in reserve for when Kane is out

i 100% agree but there are about 5 of these players in the world, we have no chance of getting. Seri and Malcom went for a combined £60mill...

Honestly not many CMs on the market who are good enough right now and that we'd pay the money to get.

Is how I would order our needs, still dont think we even need a martial/zaha type player. Not saying it wouldnt be a good signing, but its not something we're crying out for

I'm happy with Son filling the void upfront when Kane isn't playing. We won't get any better than Son as a back up striker.

needed to go out from the start to sign in these 4 areas. no names are obvious realistic choices. we can not get a CF good enough for back up, someone like Javier Hernandez i wouldnt mind, rather than another lummox

Apparently Bernard from Shakhtar is a free agent this summer. Still only 25. Surely worth picking up... between him and Max Meyer, that's two positions sorted - can then spaff the whole budget on Martial surely.

Oh well.

I can understand some disappointment from fans but some are going way too far... diamondlights you need your head checked if you're getting worried about Everton and West Ham, I bet you were one of those last season who thought Everton could finish above us when they spunked the Lukaku money on dross

I used Malcolm as an example of performance in relation to price as opposed to him being a target.

There have been plenty available in the last 2 years or so, but we didn’t move for them.

happens every summer. someone always bangs on about how we will struggle, and we always come top 6, if not top 4.

west ham have the unique ability to be absolutely facking shiiiit no matter who they sign and who manages them, and everton are simply far too inconsistent.

spurs will be back in the top 4 at the end of the year, im not at all concerned about any business done so far this summer.
