Sandy Spurs have knocked it down, rebuilt it with an underground car park and built a cheese room. I doubt you can cite a newly stadium in the entire history of the game that is called the same thing. Call it what you want ghoul, just saying.

Cheese room...

should be called the cupboard bare then...to go with the camembert

How`s your new stadium going? Roman run out of cash.

I actually think I should get more recognition for my excellent play on words with the cheese thing & your club winning nothing for years and years thing...hence the 'cupboard bare'

but I guess not...so mean spirited

Errr no, it's so unfunny and tenuous I'd say it deserves no recognition whatsoever.

too bad you brought it up again ace.

it will always be the lane.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
All fans think romantically about their club but in reality it just won't be the lane anymore as it is a different stadium.

Wham don't call the London Stadium, The Boleyn and Arsenal don't call The Emirates, Highbury.

Afraid you'll have to get used to calling it the Pot Noodle Plaza or The Favourite Fried Chicken Stadium or something equally as tacky.

Good luck
----------------------------------------------------------------------

The reason why Wham and Arsenal don't do that, is because they have relocated

----------------------------------------------------------------------
yeah that was a truly awful comparisonif the stadium wasnt being built at white hart lane...it would no longer get called it
----------------------------------------------------------------------
How so? Have you not knocked down the old stadium and rebuilt the new one slightly to the left as you look at it from the High Rd? It's therefore no longer WHL. It's a different stadium in a different position is it not?

Technically the old stadium was never officially called White hart lane apparently.

Also gin is right this new stadium isn’t WHL and while this generation and older will probably still call it that the next and ones after won’t.

I don't really get the whole 'lets call it the same name' thing much like I don't get the hatred towards red on the shirt with regards to the sponsor.

It is almost a form of footballing insecurity.

Why would you not want us to call the new ground White Hart Lane, considering it is on almost the exact footprint of the old ground, as is actually nearer the actual White Hart Lane

What makes 'Corporation Stadium' more appealing?
