I knew this thread would be funny as soon as I saw the title....
..............
Robb did an early runner, that's for sure.
I expected a much more rigid defence for Willian from him.
Jose will turn you into what he turned Inter into. A squad full of 76 year olds.

Yeah it's got Jose written all over it. Honestly if we still had Oscar, I think you would buy him too. He loves his functional athletic players.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Did somebody just mention Ramires?

Really don't think you can call Willian a forward tbh.
Jack of all trades, master of none, quite nice guy liked by everyone would be more fitting
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He's in an attacking position is what meant and that's exactly what Jose said he didn't want.
For me it shows again that Jose may not see himself here for too many more years.
How many of his signings have been young. I genuinely don’t know but it’s another season Prem player that looks like he needs/wants success ... and fast.
None of this Poch ten year plan.
Yet again calls for a DoF would be good to make sure we’re following the same plan, regardless of manager

A bit like Dirk Kuyt, and that isn't meant to be an insult.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeah a bit. Id say Willian is a better passer/crosser/manipulater of the ball but Kuyt had more goals in him and played more in the box.
There’s links saying Bernard to Chelsea.
If so, it seems clear Sarri has come in and said Willian is surplus. Which means we should be able to get a cheaper deal. Papers always add £20m on where we are concerned ... and Chelsea probably.
Unless behind the scenes they want to keep him, like Matic, and are digging their heels in.

If thats where you see him. It would be of no surprise to see him in midfield or even wing back.
If it’s 66mill then that will be about 20mill add ons included in that
Short-termism at its finest. Add him to Matic and Sanchez on the list of Mourinho signings we will need to replace within 2 years.
I'd rather see Willian at RW than Lingard or Mata to be fair. However I'm not convinced we should be paying more than 45m for him.

I get you don't like Jose. I don't like his style but stop talking utter crap. We've bought a mix of younger and older and it's mainly been younger end.

Dalot is anomaly.
The fact you’re using 25 year olds to bulk out your argument makes LL’s point even more pertinent.
Youngsters are 18-22 and he’s bought hardly any
Wonder if Paulinho's nervously sitting next to his phone in China.

I suppose we could cling to the hope that it's buying time to develop Chong, rather than sticking a player that could ultimately block him off for years
