I think we are taking away Trippiers assets if we don't play 5 at the back also. He isn't good enough in a 4 at the back most of the time. 4231 we don't have the full backs or Cm for

5 - Trippier/KWP/Aurier, Toby/Dier, Sanchez/Foyth, Verts/Davies, Rose/Davies
2 - Wanyama/Winks/Eriksen/Dembele
3 - Dele/Moura/Kane/Lamela/Son/Eriksen

Right now Dele is best in his current role but there is a certain ceiling that comes with that, by its very nature he's going to have quiet phases in games and "go missing" in games.

I've always been of the opinion that long term Dele would be at his best as a marauding B2B CM and we will eventually have to push him further back to maximise his potential, even if that does limit his current production.

Honestly either of those would be great (if we're looking to play this way). Don't think there's much between them as players. I suppose Martial is younger

I think Zaha would slot in better and be more if s instant success but martial longer term would turn out better.

Reckon Dembele will stay now and we’ll use Eriksen/Dele deeper as analog said above.

With only Dier & Dembele as fit CMs we probably will have to change and play Eriksen and dele deeper we can’t see us buying anyone.

It makes sense but I don’t want Eriksen and Dele playing in deeper positions. They could possibly learn how to excel there eventually, but I don’t want anymore experiments.
