Struggled to get in the Bournemouth side at times last year. £30mif true.

Showing your footballing knowledge again , not
Seems like Levy is not going to change his philosophy any time soon.
Young, reasonably cheap, good prospect for the future.
The issue you have is will signings like this guarantee top 4 again? If other teams do improve significantly and you drop put for a year or 2 do you start having problems keeping Kane/alli/Eriksson? If you do then signings like this will never elevate you. If you can keep those players then in a few years he could become a massively important part of your team.
Risky strategy given the purchasing power of the other top teams and how quickly they can improve because of this. Genuinely hope it works out for you though because I think it's a shame if teams can't build success anymore

Need to aim to win things now and with that we should be adding some proven quality (players that have won things would be nice), not young players who aren't going to reach their peak for another few years....by which time we'll probably have lost a few of our big players through not having won anything.
Before anyone throws a massive tantrum - does anyone actually know how good Lewis Cook is?
I think I recall seeing him play once or twice for Bournemouth and thinking he is a tidy player but nothing more?
I like him personally. Tidy player if unspectacular. I do wonder if he’s a little similar in style to Harry winks though?
Not the signing I’d make if i were in charge of spurs but if you get him i think he’d do well for you

He just reminds me off Winks.
Not a signing to take us up a level although he’s so young that he could improve loads.
Fook me 30m for prospects these days

Where does this philosophy come from that tells us "Hey we're really close to winning things, so what we need to bridge that gap is a young prospect that hasn't won anything and isn't yet at the level of the rest of our big players"?

As a general rule, anything that comes from the Mirror / Sun / Mail / Metro is aaaaaaaabsolutelty made up.
There’ll be hundreds of rumours in the next week, 99% of them will be ballacks
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It’s being reported everywhere including the BBC.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
No offence my friend but the BBC are just quoting the Star, this is just various people recycling the same rumour!
"Tottenham are lining up a £30m bid for Bournemouth's 21-year-old midfielder Lewis Cook, who captained England Under-20s to World Cup success last summer. (Star)"
Not saying it's not true, just saying lots of places saying the same thing doesn't give it credibility.
He’s a great young player.
Some of the reactions on here are laughable just because you want to sign a top player your slating a move for one of England’s best young players. Delusions of grandeur.
