Pretty fair assessment, conte’nt. On Mourinho and style I don’t think the club are as concerned about it as the fans. If we make improvements next season but don’t win the league I don’t think Mourinho will be sacked. Not unless he has a massive paddy and froces us to. But that’s a separate issue.

Spurs have some brill players, but more investment is required to make them title challengers. It looks like they won't be making any significant signings this summer either. Their best chance was a couple of years ago. Unfortunately Man City got to be the heavy favorites for the title, Man Utd could threaten if they manage to upgrade their fullbacks and probably another RW to complement Alexis. There is few days left before the window shuts. Liverpool made some good signings this summer, but I am not sure their players have the minerals to challenge Man City, they should odds on finishing in the top 4 though. There is the London teams fighting for the top 4 spot, it will be areal battle. This is how I see it will it will end up
1. Man City
2. Liverpool/Man Utd
3. Man Utd/Liverpool
4. Chelsea/Arsenal/Spurs
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Leicester won a title with little investment. Chelsea came from 12th to win a title. Both United and Liverpool have invested heavily over the past few seasons, and come nowhere near winning a title. So your argument is deeply flawed.
No reason at all why a settled Spurs squad could not win the title.
Different time different circumstances sandy. Both Man City and Man Utd were going through iffy times. Chelsea finished 10th due various factors. Otherwise, realistically they were a better side than they showed that season, don't forget they won the league the season before.
Leicester took advantage of big guns going through an iffy period, Chelsea went to a meltdown season, Arsenal being Arsenal never looked like threatening (still managed to finish ahead of Spurs that season) whereas Spurs were their main threat to the title, and it was by far their best chance to win it.
Now we have a settled Man City side, who the league at the canter last season, Liverpool has come on to the scene, Arsenal have made some astute signings as well, they will challenge for top four, Man Utd is lot stronger now than they were 3-4 years ago. Chelsea won the league again, because the majority of the players that won the league a couple of years ago were still there. Also, because of Conte (still one of the best around) managed to change the system that caught teams by surprise, obviously few tweaks here and there made it possible.

Absolutely no way of knowing whether Arsenal and Chelsea with new managers will hit the ground running, and if any of Liverpool`s new signings will be any good in the Prem. Plenty of foreign players have absolutely flopped. Man United may do OK, but I wouldn`t bank on it. And I would bet my mortgage (I don`t have one now. ), on City not having anywhere near as good a season as last season. Spurs with a settled and tried team and squad, will be there or thereabouts when the trophies are being given out. Taken three or four seasons, but the team is now about to hit peak years. Most are still only mid twenties with a lot of experience in the defence, absolutely crucial in making a serious title challenge.
Fortunately as usual, Spurs are being seriously, seriously underrated, so all good from my point of view with getting decent prices in all competitions.
I really can not argue with what Conte'nt has said here.
Tottenham won't win the league. They haven't improved their team in years now. Standing still is going backwards when the teams around you are getting better. Unfortunately the club doesn't have the ambition to win titles it seems.
Gonna be funny reading Sandy shouting for Pochettino to be sacked again when Spurs are nowhere near winning the title and go potless again.
But he didn't say United would win it
