Been linked with Pjanic, Kovacic, Veccino and Ramsey. If any of the above arrive, then it is most certainly that RLC, Baka and DW will be shipped either on loan or sold probably RLC and Baka on loan and DW be sold
Either get a top CM who walks into our starting XI or dont get anyone and give the likes of Barkley and Ruben a chance. I don’t want us panic buying whilst over spending on some average midfielder again.
TLLL , how dare you be so sensible sir ! r
Milinkovic-Savic would be perfect, the rest that we are linked to are not better than what we have already.
Vecino, saw a couple of times at the World Cup, looked average.
Pjanic will not leave Juve and is not a goalscorer.
Kovacic neither makes the Madrid team or Croatia side so never seen him play.
Ramsey can't stay fit so not really worth it...
In terms of the "attacking mid" role I think we're fairly stacked (Fabregas, Barkley and RLC can all play there). Our main issue is if either Jorginho or Kante get injured. Neither Baka nor Drinkwater are good enough to deputise for them for any extended period of time. I wouldn't be surprised if Sarri has noted this and is desperately searching for a player who could serve as back-up for the two (Kante/Jorg).
Kovacic wouldn't actually be a bad option. Young with a high ceiling and good in defence and attack.
Vecino isn't a top level player but he'd definitely do a lot better than Baka and Drinkwater in our current system.
Paredes is another I've heard bandied about though I don't know enough about him to give a proper opinion.
Ramsey is far too undisciplined in defence to play either of Kante's or Jorginho's roles.

RLC going out on loan is not an option I believe we should pursue, we either have to give him a chance or a permanent move.
We're not talking about an 18 year old kid but a 22 year old fully fledged international who was judged by an England manager to be a part of our WC squad where he didn't look out of place.
To even attempt to loan him out with the standing he new has, would IMO, be totally unacceptable to him and heap ridicule on the club from the media and rest of the football world in this country.
RLC is good enough for England Brumm,.......,but is he good enough for us ?.
A conundrum ,but I think that he should be given his chance now.
Stupid strategy adopted by Chelsea FC in signing players. We could sign three quality players for only 160-180 million pounds and be set for the next two seasons but we are too short-sighted to see that!

Well to put it a better way, bearing in mind Sarri will play a 3 man midfield, (two of which will be Kante and Jorginho) is he better or worse than Bakayoko, Fabregas, Drinkwater, or Barkley?
I'd say not!
For me that 3rd place is up for grabs and I don't see anyone in the squad any better than him, however the Chelsea way is to bring in another average player that will add nothing to the team, which takes us right back to TLLLs rather relevant point!
I'd say Barkley is a lot more suited to Sarri's system.
I hear what everyone is saying - we have many options for that 3rd central midfield player in RLC, Bakayoko, Fabregas, Drinkwater, or Barkley. The trouble is - none of them is good enough. Fabregas has the most ability, but is too slow and old. Barkley is probably the most suited for that position (I agree with you again ——&mdash, but he has no brain. RLC has most potential, but is yet to prove himself capable. Baka and Drinkwater are probably backups for the defensive positions, but they are also not good enough. None of these players would get into any of the other top 6 teams.
Ramsey for me would be the perfect 3rd midfielder to play With Jorginho and Kante. He could get a lot of goals for us and is a sweet passer of the ball. Otherwise give Barkley and RLC their chance.
SWTN Ramsey is a sicknoteand doesn't score twenty goals a season on a regular note so youare wrong there.
