now there's an expression which contains the important magic word.
Have we loaned Alan Houghton out ? is he injured after using a fish knife to eat a snake and Sydney pudding
No sign of Alan at Reading.
Lee has been a very naughty boy Ken told Pat and she grounded him until he learns to behave himself.
No news on that elusive striker yet. Has Ken shafted us yet again and is going to leave us short of firepower?
We've had a good start but it a very long season in front of us. I see the management team have bigged up Birming ham in the Beano. Is this about getting excuses in early just in case we fail to get a result?
Begging emails from the club are getting a bit much now they will have to be classified as spam if they carry on trying to flog stuff like a third strip what's with the third strip anyway.
Ken will have to dip in his own pockets for free players money he ain't having mine.
What's this Joe Williams fella like besides being a midfield scouser. He played for Barnsley on loan last season scoring 1 in 34 is he for the dev squad ?
We'll have to find somewhere to put him no he's here
Joe was our 18th signing of the summer when the striker arrives and the loan window shuts Benny will be along to keep us updated on how many are loans and when they are due to return to their homes clubs.
We need a quiz asking you to state the year the loan merry go round ends and we have a squad made up of players we own.
Leaked there is a recall option for both wildschut and Williams in January. Updated the summer thread.
As the Beano countdown clock is still broken here is a reminder.
BONG - One Week to Go until the end of August and the closing of the loan window. Yes folks that's one week to find a free scoring twelveteen foot striker for PP
So Joe who has been signed on a season-long loan may disappear in January.
He has to get in the team first so we will see how long that takes. He may just make it in the team in November or early December, be settling in and then get recalled. Personally, I think he will probably stay for the season as Everton will more than likely have enough cover.
Wildschut's out of contract at the end of the season and I seem to remember something being mentioned regarding him possibly signing at the end of the season if everything went well. I suppose we will just have to wait and see.
Here's a link to Joe's Official press release for the club. I hope that he's as good as it sounds.

PP has his list but will we sign anyone? There's talk of a 6 foot 4 inch Southampton striker, Sam Gallaghereing being available. He has a decent record, but it may not happen as Southampton are looking for big money to loan him out. I suspect that will rule us out. Then there's the Burton Albion Striker,
Liam Boyce. Maybe he could do a job for us. As usual, nothing concrete at this moment in time. The clocks going to stop ticking soon.
If Sam Gallaghereing's record is that Sweet Caroline tune I'm leaving town
Admin can we bump this to top of the threads please for deadline day?
After loans done and dusted elsewhere on Thursday we now need a new shortlist for the final day. Don't forget a leaving list as well !.
Lots of try before you buy are available at this time of year as clubs try to maximise what they'll get for players who didn't sell in the normal window and who's contracts are up next summer.
Illes is saying three bids in and there is hope that we will sign one or two of those. No names so it could be a comp0lete load of tosh.
Just a reminder Ken & Co will only manage a half day today after waking up in the South of France they had to have some of them flaky breakfast bread things and coffee before departing for the airport by the time they got their bags at the other end and arrived at their destination it was time for lunch.
After lunch they had a good laugh at the attempts made so far by the poor folk they had left in charge while they were away at home.
The wallet containing the mythical 900k transfer pot has of course remained in France with Pat who was last seen heading for Carrefour
Well Pasty, Nothing as yet. Roughly 2 hours 40 minutes to go. It's going to be another blank.

Benny, the default display on a page of threads is to show the most recently created at the top, but you can change that if you click "most recently updated". This thread then appears first.
And that is probably the most interesting thing you will read on here all afternoon, unless the Hazard and Kane loan rumours turn out to be true
According to Illes we have made a signing but no word yet on who it is.
Zach Clough to Rochdale and Conner Hall to Accrington.
Still no word on who the signing is or what position he plays in.
This is getting frustrating. Still no word. Have we signed a player or not?
Illes has put some bl00dy music on while we wait!!!!!!
Can't spell his name or what
