my god you really are determined, i'll give you that.

right.... for the last time... Jose's signings for me have nearly all been needed in the positions he has signed them in...however nearly all the sigings have failed to live up to their potential because they are being asked to play a style that they never should have been signed to play.

Hard to think of one that's been an undoubted success. Lukaku at a push would be about it.

In a nutshell!

If he were to go out and sign a full back or two now then no one could moan he hasn't identified where we need to be strengthened. What they can moan about though is the players chosen to do the strengthening.

Lindelof

Wasn’t needed in the slightest as he no better than what’s already there.

It's just that people have been referring you our policy as scatter gun like and just chasing big names for the sake of it

posted on 6/8/18

Well yeag. You can add Sanchez to to Lindelof too.

Scater gun doesn't have to mean position either, that's incredibly reductive, as it can also mean style.

So Utd need a forward who can cross from the right (or I'd say that just to maximise Lukaku) so he went a but Sanchez, who can't cross, cuts inside and does his best work on the left where Utd have Martial.

Not according to some of our fans who claim he is best from the Right and can cross

I've not seen a single person say he's better on the right but rather that he would be better put there to maximise the squad talent.... because he would.

Sky Sports say you are back in for Maguire and it’ll be a world record fee.

It's not just about positions though, it is about the kind of team they would excel in.

Sanchez - Wasn't needed (for the left) and is very used to a fast, short passing game

Lukaku - We needed a striker, but Lukaku is at his best when getting service from the wings.

Pogba - We needed a CM, but Pogba is at his best in a 3, with dynamic CMs.

Matic - We needed a DM, but, as stated above, we needed one who is dynamic, to get the best out of Pogba.

So our transfer policy is being branded scatter gun purely from the fact we signed a top forward in Sanchez and a young CB in Lindelof.

I have never claimed that. Go and look on the many many Martial threads. Plenty have said Sanchez is better on the right

would you buy de bruyne and ask him to play in a midfield 2?

No, it's rightfully being branded scatter gun because it doesn't seem to be moving towards a cohesive, well planned, well balanced team.

Lindelof was 23 when you signed him, he’s hardly a facking baby is he?

Simple fact is he wasn’t needed because he’s no better than what was there, he’s failed to break into the side. Add in the fact that you seem to keep adding in the same positions when you have Valencia & Young at fullback.

i wouldnt say Lindelof wasnt needed.

we are stacked out at CB, but dont have any that can stay injury free or ones that are decent on the ball.

Lindelof ticks both of those boxes, however its taken him time to settle, he could still go on to be a decent signing tbf.

Ignore that we don't have a new RB.... Martial has been dreadful on the right, Sanchez has been poor on the left, Matic is a year older, Pogba has been inconsistent, Fred is untested, Shaw has been weak at LB and Jones and Bailly can't stay fit... and Fellaini will probably start!
