I just asked Jack Grealish his opinion about this.
He said to ignore you.

The point was still clear enough to merit an answer.
Gone strangely quiet weare's end though...

Tottenham achieved objective, says manager Mauricio Pochettino

Sorry but thats laughable and an outright insult to the fans.
You signed no one and then calling it a success.
I hope those that voted Brexit take a long look at their ugly faces in the mirror
There is no point signing players for the sake of it and overpaying in the process when we already have players of a similar level. No signings is better than the wrong signings. Most of the players that would improve us are out of our reach at present.

Whilst that's a very good point you make, Billy, the problem, not just for Spurs but for all clubs that get to that tipping point, you very often have to over-pay for the player, or players that will take you up a level.
That obviously means even greater investment will be needed, rather than none at all.
The coming season will be far from disastrous for Spurs, as they already have a good first team in place. Trouble will be meeting the ever increasing ambitions on the supporters. The stadium will provide a nice distraction, but ultimately it's all about how things go on the pitch.
And that's why I said this could well be viewed in years to come as being a high point for Spurs.

If you mean temporarily putting loads of really important stuff to one side in order to make a valuable contribution to the Spurs board, Edin, then yes.
Supposedly (based on reports, so heavy pinch of salt) Spurs bid £35m for Brozovic but Inter wanted his full release fee of £44m. Spurs declined to pay the extra £9m.
Personally think Brozovic would have improved the team, and certainly the squad, so it's a shame to hear (if true) that Spurs baulked at what is, comparatively in football, a pretty minor sum.
Whatever.
That does sound very Arsenal 2007-11.
Frustrating for you, I'm sure.
