As Poch has said keeping the squad together was a lot more important than signing any new players.

The problem with this is that if this squad doesnt win something this season then some will want to leave, probably the Manager also, and this squad is not good enough to win the league could be lucky in FA cup or league cup.

I don't think winning anything will stop players from leaving in the end. Its all about the money. Its just one of the things players say so they cannot look greedy.
Maybe Kane is the only player I would believe when he says it. Just my opinion.

Spurs will always be criticised by the media. Spurs have been the most consistent side of any in the Premership for the past three seasons, done it on a budget that is dwarfed by the sugar daddy clubs and the other chequebook clubs, and yet Spurs are still heavily criticised in the media.

Spurs has a role model for how a club should be run should be shouted from the rooftops by the media, but for some reason they seem to enjoy having a dig at Spurs.

So frankly what they say is a total load of bollox.

Spot on Sandy.

The problem is they don't think "well run club punches above its salary weight again" is what people want to hear, so they concentrate on anything than can perceive as a negative.

Agree Sandy. All this moaning about not signing players may actually work in our favour. Settled squad, new stadium and a club that is no longer selling their best assets. COYS!

Another Premier league first - only club to not sign anyone in the summer transfer window. We win the no signing trophy

Am I missing something...... Is trips injured ? Surely Aurier doesn't start ahead of him... Mainly coz he's cr@p
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Aurier is not crap, he has had one full season, where he did OK, certainly better than Trippier`s first season at Spurs. Trippier having a few half decent games for England should not come into Poch`s thinking as regards Spurs.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I would be putting greater emphasis on Trippier's excellent World Cup than a few decent pre season friendlies for Aurier. Comparing Trips first season Vs Auriers is pointless.. its about the here & now !!!

Predicting the team I think Poch will play:

Aurier Sanchez Davies KWP
--------Amos--------Dier

Agreed

It used to be they left to play champions league footy.

Now it’s to win something

It’s NEVER ever about money.

Everton have a long way to catch up with Spurs, for the amount of spending your club do, you should be at least on par, yet you are light years behind.

Take Eriksen out of that team and you'd be looking at middle to lower table with that line up most games.

Sissoko will defo play but if he picks this side there will be uproar even more so and Sandy will soon turn

You need to find some stability with the new manager and a core of players rather than lots of decent ones.

Even spurs have won something more recently than Everton ffs
