I wouldn't have commented on this thread had it not been for Wolves fans thinking they were going to walk the game. I know you did well last season, but I hadn't actually seen you play. I was expecting really fast attacking football, and if your had read my earlier post, I wasn't expecting a point from this game. So I was very surprised at how mundane your football was, especially against 10 men.
Good result for Wolves tonight against big spending Everton

They just play in front of you, side to side. Could be big game jitters I don't know but they won't do anything playing like that in the prem. So easy to defend against. They had a 3 minute spell of pressure all game and fair play scored from it, but passing the ball round your back 5 whole the opposition get in 2 banks of 4 is suicide in this league.
Well, considering we were crap and played a side that has spent near 300 million the last 15 months then i am amazed we were on the same pitch but more than that i am amazed we showed the bollox to come back from behind twice.
Everton are shat and will be lucky to escape relegation!
Good luck with that

----------------------------------------------------------------------
That's what happens when you have jagielka and holgate as your centre backs... That's a game you should have won with consummate ease when it went down to 10, but you had 5 at the back. Even kept 4 players outside the box marking Tosun for corners. Just really negative and amateurish.
Well said Cinci. With all that money spent Everton will surely be challenging the top four spots, they have to be. A point against a top four challenger is a good result for a newly promoted side, particularly when they played poorly.

Outside the top 6 I honestly rate West Ham’s team as better than yours. And while your team is better than Burnley I wouldn’t put it past them to finish above you again.
I just think you need better than Tosun, Niasse and Richarlison. Richarlison started last season with a bang and then did nothing after November - he looked good today but I said that when he first went to Watford.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You do know that Richarlison had played 11 months solid before his form dropped? Silva leaving may also have been a factor in his bad form.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He just lacked consistency last season. Which is typical for a young player, you needed to sign a top class proven striker and I think that will limit you once again this season. I think West Ham look better than you and we might run you closer than you think as well. We bossed united at old Trafford for much of the first half and should have had a draw - just not clinical enough with vardy on the bench for most of the game
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I watched that game, you didn't boss them, and lets be honest Utd weren't firing on all cylinders.
You're judging us on last season, and on our first game were we played with 10 men for 50 min. Your comment about West Ham adding to a stronger squad was quite obviously wrong considering we finished above them last season.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You watched the game and don’t think we dominated that first half? Even united fans admitted it, we were playing them off the facking park. Jose had to bring Sanchez in from the left to deal with it. And you think we were firing on all cylinders? We had 19 players at the World Cup and vardy on the bench. You’ve been listening to Mourinhos sob story
Where you finish in the league and the strength of your squad don’t always go hand in hand. If West Ham had a decent manager last season then I believe they would have been 8th, not you.
You had a better squad than Burnley last season and finished below them.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Are you forgetting we sacked 2 managers because they weren't up to the job? United also had a number of players at the world cup. The majority of our new signings didn't even make the bench. Why are you even here, this was a Wolves Vs Everton match.
Yeah it really was amateurish

Not the best performance today but certainly not as dire as some 'fans' are making out. Pace was a bit pedestrian, too many misplaced passes and too many long balls. Jota and Costa didn't support Jimenez enough and we generally afforded a very average Everton side too much respect. Having said all that, we are the only promoted club to gain a point today. So now we move on and start the program of slow, week by week improvement that we employed last season.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I'd hate to burst your bubble matey but Wolves are no longer playing in the Championship, that average Everton side were in control of the game before the iffy sending off. We'll get better, will Wolves?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
No we won't, why would we, we don't have any quality, we don't know what winning feels like and we haven't got owners that are looking for far more than top half finishes, why would we get better
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Leicester fans were spouting the same after their great title win. Like Wolves they didn’t buy the quality needed.
