Not going to lie, you guys look awesome. Klopp has done a fantastic job and finally strengthened in the areas you needed to regardless of cost.

My tip for the league and I hope you win

W"hat's the situation with both Matip and Lovren injuries?

Gomez looked fine yesterday and I'd much rather see him play at centre back than full back, but would still start Lovren and VVD when all fit.

Our pressing has a lot to do with teams looking poor, West Ham have some good players and have signed real talent! Their manager isn’t a joke either...

Im a;; for given gomez chances, happier to for him to have a go and possible make a mistake that he will learn from than a 29 year old doing the same, but wont learn from it

Own thing I've noticed is that you're very clever at fouling before an attack is forming too. Any sign of danger you break up the play before it turns into an attack, meaning it doesn't even warrant a card for the best part.

Something I've wanted to see from us for years, I always remember Jose's Chelsea and how good they were at this, sharing the fouls around too so it's not the same player leading to cards.

It's a bit sly and all but it's a very clever tactic.

Yeah this is such an infuriating tactic- Pep is the king of it.

With time hopefully referees will start penalizing it more, but they are no different to counter attack professional fouls.

Yeah, Jose's Madrid in particular were brilliant at it. So frustrating as an opposition fan but it what it is.

Spurs did it versus Newcastle a lot this weekend.

VVD adds an air of composure to the defence. he is a leader and we have not had a leader since Carra retired in defence.

Robertson and TAA have made a difference as well and with Alisson in the sticks he looks composed as well. I heard he completed more passes than 9 West Ham players yesterday.

I used to have heart attacks every cross or corner that came in and now i am relaxed knowing bog Virj is at the back leading the line.

I know he cost a lot but we needed the best and in my view he is one of the leading defenders in the world right now

Pep's teams are the kings of the tactical fouls. If the press doesn't reward the ball within seconds then go for the foul.

Yep, absolutely nothing wrong with it. It's mainly down to the fact as soon as we lose the ball we are swarming round the opposition to win it back so often foul the opponents if we don't get it. Defending from the front.

I still hope Fabinho to come in to make us defensively stronger. There were times when they could pass the ball very easily.

I hope you aren't referring to yesterday's game.?

Didn’t anyone notice a moment yesterday when West Ham managed to put a decent ball into the box...

Van Dijk casually volleyed it out of play and shouted over to ‘Mane stop the fu£king cross!’

Turned me on a bit

I find it incredible that anything other than a perfect defensive display (which is virtually impossible) makes people question how good a defence is. The way the game is now played, and even the balls used, means that players will get caught out at times.

Term

You know the first goal conceded will follow articles and comments about Alisson not being worth £66m (even though we’ve paid £58m) don’t you.

Liverpool are the kings of scoring offside goals.
VAR can't come soon enough.
