Emery is a little unlucky in the sense he would have wanted an easier start in the fixture list for the team to settle on his methods. Starting at home to City and away to Chelsea wouldn't have been what he desired with us constantly getting caught with a ball behind the defence, and getting trapped trying to play out from the back.

I know I'm a spurs fan but those 2 opening fixtures were about as tough as it gets. You will know a little more after West Ham, which I think might be a tricky game to be fair. You have to give him time.

No we defended differently in the second half so the transition was different.We essentially dropped deeper and let Chelsea have the ball.

That was because they were getting in to easily in the first because of the distance between Xhaka and Gendouzi. Frankly I would have preferred us to carry on pushing up like we did in the first half. Sitting deep is fine if the opposition doesn't have Hazard in the opposing team.
