He took his goal on Saturday very well. It was a Costa-esque goal.
He's a long way to go to prove his doubters wrong but he did well, Hoping we get our Newcastle hoodoo over us at the weekend.
Yeah took it very well, however was a bit weird after that as he disappeared from the game for big periods. Second half was non existent. Would take a brace next weekend though alvaro
Alvaro, actions speak louder than words mate,so come on, smash all the doubters .

Maybe he's fatigued from smashing his mrs. Worldy
I suppose that in defense of Morata, we must remember that ,
1,he was in his first season with us,
2,a new country to settle into,
3,a wife who was pregnant with twins,
4, Antonio Conte as his manager !.
Harlequin I disagree with 4 as Conte believed in Morata and was crucial in bringing Morata to Chelsea last season! Also one more point for others,Morata will never be Costa and Costa can never emulate Morata in playing style and bullying defences into submission even though if he does play well he can a handful and a great asset of Chelsea FC.
he lacks cojones to put it bluntly
we have a perverse habit of picking up gifted but mentally weak strikers

Bit harsh blarmy, can only think of torres and morata who match that description off the top of my head. maybe lukaku?
I think it is persisting with them that is the issue
Also Costa was mental in a different way that didnt turn out well in the end. Contes fault too
Id say Anelka as well Nick
He's worth giving one more season too, but if he underwhelms for Sarri than definitely get rid. If Sarri's here for a good few years we can't afford players who aren't producing.
I disagree Blarmy that Anelka lacked mental toughness as he was quite a consistent player who scored many crucial goals for Chelsea and strangely underrated by Chelsea and non Chelsea football fans!Torres was not mentally weak but just couldn't click at Chelsea or at Atletico after leaving Chelsea or AC Milan!I don't agree that Lukaku or Costa are mentally weak as well though I do agree that Morata gets shrugged off the beal quite easily though.Lukaku just lacks the proper touch and ball control but does score goals however not as many as most fans would like and yes he is no Drogba or Aguero.
Toughness is not the only mental game leak
Well done club and board, for backing the record striker who had hit the ground running last season (set a new Chelsea record by being directly involved in 12 goals in his first 11 PL matches (8 goals & 4 assists), scored the most headers in the league and quickly struck/established a partnership with Azpi in the process before encountering and being hindered by hamstring & bad back injury (which is no joke to play through).

Sheva was more just old and slow when he came to us. Just couldn't adapt to the speed of the PL. Well imo.

Meh one final. He scored the opening for us when the nerves were high on final day, we went on to win 8-0 but he still bagged the goal.
Ronaldo and messi have missed several key penalty's etc. (more than made up for it) but just saying
