Garth Crooks thought he had a mare . I think Garth is in a minority with that opinion, even my most hardcore spurs fan mates have said he’s been our best player in both games.

To be fair he could have had a mare and still be your best player in both games

He only passes it 5 yards, lots of easy passes means a high %

Have you ever made a comment that wasn’t completely retaaaarded?

Seem to lose it a lot and be weak in the tackle. And dived a lot under minimal contact. But looks a real prospect and the least flustered of all your midfield and defence.

Average game for a pro. Great game for someone his age.

The lad is a joy to watch. We need fast wingers to improve our attacking pace and pressing. I hope he doesn't suffer a serious injury, and he keeps his feet on the ground and remains level-headed. It's sad to see what happened to so many promising, brilliant youngsters who are now battling to play at awful clubs.

I think you have the wrong guy, not david luiz, he looks like him but he was playing in red.

Seems to lose it a lot
94% pass accuracy (46 out of 49) dispossessed once.

Weak in the tackle
Won 5 tackles, and made 4 interceptions. Game leader in both.

Only plays short, sideways passes.
8 long balls/through balls. More than anyone bar the CBs of each team.
His accuracy of 6 successful long passes far out shining his opponents (Jorginho 6 attempts, 2 successful)

Dived a lot under minimal contact
Wow, this came from a Chelsea fan. Chelsea won the game because of a very blatant dive to stop Arsenal breaking directly before the winner.

Gandouzi was playing well and was brilliant in my view.He did not have an average game and was class in my view.Best Arsenal player on the pitch and did what Chelsda actually want Luiz to play like but was poor against Arsenal.Best of luck to Arsenal for the season!

Looks a good prospect, I'm very impressed with how confident he is and doesn't let his head get down after a mistake.

Let's not make him out to be the next best thing, has a lot of work to do.

His reaction to Aubameyang's miss was epic!!

Let's not all go overboard but he's definitely the new white Vieira.

Lool so funny how quickly people come defensive and start talking nonsense. Though you were a better poster than that DJ.

1.) you know there’s more reasons to lose the ball than passin? He got bounced of the ball time and time again in the first half and then flopped to the ground looking at the referee, who from my mind waved for him to get up 3 times.

2.) I never mentioned his short passing or long passing.

3.) and yes this coming from a Chelsea fan, I’m not sure why a Chelsea player diving would mean an arsenal player didn’t? The two can most certainly happen. Don’t also know why a Chelsea player diving would mean I couldn’t comment on one of your players who kept going to ground, which was negative for you team.

4.) like I say for someone his age he was good. Don’t get why so touchy tbh.

objectivity. Well done. I was at the game, reminds me very much of luiz( tidy, Long passes, but then hits the deck at times) will be interesting to see him this year if emery sticks with him. Arsenal have needed a cm for about 15 years.

1) Dispossessed ONCE. He lost the ball 4 times, 2 long balls, one bad pass and dispossessed once.

2) My reply was not directed at one person but the thread before me.

3) Didn't dive once. Unlike Kovacic.

4) Stating the facts of the game is touchy? You and others made claims that just don't stack up to the evidence.

1) Dispossessed ONCE. He lost the ball 4 times, 2 long balls, one bad pass and dispossessed once.

Don't know where you are getting those stats, but in 50/50s he lost out a fair bit. Might not Categorise as "dispossessed"

3) Didn't dive once. Unlike Kovacic.

That would lead me to believe you didn't watch the full 90? Which isn't like you.

4.) all my claims are on the money. And this "Wow, this came from a Chelsea fan." seem touchy

posted on 21/8/18

Won more tackles than anyone, made more interceptions than anyone. Basically won the ball back a lot. Get the impression your idea of 50/50 may be abstract.

posted on 21/8/18

My idea of 50/50 comes from watching the game and watching the ref wave him up 3 or 4 times, i'd watch it again if possible. Wouldn't make it up. Get the impression you want to see what you want. Not really up for debate that he flopped from 50/50s and the ref waved him up.

posted on 21/8/18

That is of course if the cameras pick it up. Try watch the whole match again.

I saw it, and replays. Guendouzi barely lost possession. Was fouled quite a lot. A homer ref, and a Chelsea fan sitting in the stands don't have the advantage of what can been seen on TV.

You seem to go on opinion from a disadvantaged viewpoint. I am going on what we could all see from various angles on TV as well as the stats.

posted on 21/8/18

The ref gave Kovacic a free kick when he dived, not sure him waving Guendouzi up after a foul holds much weight.

I've watched both. Got BT.
As for disadvantaged view point, have you been to stamford bridge? I've got great seats with a fantastic view of all the action where I sit.

He looks good and was definitely our best midfield in both games.
Having said that, what an introduction to the PL. I'd have personally preferred to start him in "easier" fixtures and I hope his confidence hasn't been dented.
