Looking at it from a 'if it was City' perspective, I would have wanted the same outcomes from both incidents.

Salah possible made a meal of the first one but he was impeded.

As far as the Red Card is concerned. I think the look of resignation on the face on the Palace player's face tells you the story. He knew he had gotten it wrong and he was going to walk.

The only question for me was did he deny a clear goal-scoring opportunity? It was quite a heavy touch by Salah that seemed to take the ball a little wide of the goal. That's the only bone of contention in my mind.

Based on what I did see last night, the referee didn't get much wrong. Liverpool were pretty good value for the win and are genuine Title contenders this season.
