Promote Gibbs. He needs a run of games.

Gibbs is ready, signing a new left back will just halt his development as a footballer unless your gonna let him go which is unlikely, he has shown enough signs being Clichys understudy that he is actually better than Clichy imo and should be given a run in the first team.

Gibbs is like diaby, talented but too injury prone. I think it's too risky to make him first-choice yet.

Gibbs is no left back. He was atrocious there every game he filled in for. He's a winger, not a left-back.

Gibbs can in no way shape or form be relied on to be first choice at a club like Arsenal!

Yes, he's got some good attributes and potentially he could go on to become a good player.

But he's inexperienced and most worryingly, for such a young player, his injury record is appauling.

If Clichy is moved on I can't see any other sensible and viable option other than to get in a new leftback, one who actually eclipsing Clichy in terms of ability.

Who would be the ideal replacement for Clichy ?

I say promote him, if hes a failure, we have Bothelo and traore, and then weve got january transfer window.

Can we risk promoting anymore?, majority of Arsenal fans have ran out of patience and want quality NOW rather than later.

Leighton Baines. Gibbs can be understudy if he is fit. He will get a decent run of games still as we pursue the Quadruple next season
