We're hired the Raine Group because we're stratifigising.

Always plan for the future strategies mate, otherwise the clubs would stagnate

If he does sell the club for £2bn that is some serious profit he will make, £140m he bought Chelsea for.

God imagine what we are worth if such a small club like Chelsea were bought for 2 billion
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Infinitely more if they were not such a boring side to watch!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Errr i don't think clubs are bought on what the side look like on the pitch at that time
What a m0nng

True. He's put a lot of his money into the club, maybe not £2billion. I'd say he's spent very close to £1.5 billion of his own money into the club.

Roman has put CFC on the map, without his money we'd probably be fighting for mid table or even fighting relegation

They've been a club in turmoil for sometime now. There are striking similarities between Jose's third season at Utd and Chelsea's third season under his second stint.

That may well have been the case, but if my memory serves right, the club were heading for administration, Roman came in at the right time to save the club.

£2bn for a Europa league tier club is pretty good going.

£2 billion is what the club valued by Raine Group, not what Roman is asking for or not that Roman interested to sell the club he owned for over 15 years.

Righto, so is it being sold or not? 2 billion seems a touch steep especially given the state of the awful stadium. London prices could play a part I guess.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Sorry, have you actually gone through the Chelsea accounts cash flows and balance sheet? Perhaps you could provide us all on here with your DCFs and NPV calculations for acquiring Chelsea so we can decide to agree with your valuation or not?

Be a shame if he does go. He's built his life here for 15 years and done fantastic things for the team and local area.

New owners are always a lottery... the 2 cowboys we had before FSG nearly ran us into the ground.

posted on 26/8/18

Any new owner definitely won't match up to Roman.

No but I know Chelsea want (and arguably need) a new stadium which will cost hundreds of millions and I know that Chelsea owe Roma a billion so half that cost is not going to be gained in assets and I know no club has ever been bought for £2billion. As such it seems steep.

If you have an item you don't wish to sell, what do you do?

Put a price on it, so prohibitive that it puts prospective buyers off!

So this is what the glory hunters do to relieve themselves of the ongoing tragedy that is the club they chose to support.

A manager that doesn't want to be there, players that don't want to play for them, lurching from crisis to crisis.

What to do eh; do an article about another club to alleviate the pain.

Glad we could be your morphine!
