Kovacic looked a little lost yesterday but maybe because Newcastle were using destructive tactics, which are not normally played in Spain. he was very tired at the end and asked to come off. Hazard looks good already although he frustrates a little when he just stops up while dribbling giving opponents time to regroup. I think Hudson Odoi would be a great sub against the likes of Newcastle.
His main problem is his awful work ethic, he makes Torres look like a work horse.
When you are that limited a player you need to make amends in other ways, Ramires the case in point.

Im next to certain he was a Conte wish, if he wasn't he wouldn't have played him.
im a bit peeved that we didnt make a move for Richarleson, hes really doing well again this season.
The fact that we still managed to finish 5th last season still amazes me. Don't forget Morata went missing a lot,without Bakayoko being absent full time !,what on earth was Conte doing ?

I'm stumped as to what he did for Monaco that made us pay 40m for him? What did our scouts see in him? Presumably we thought that because he's part of a team that's producing all these talented youngsters, that they all must be good so just chuck in a bid for him and see where we get. Monaco accepted 40m straight away whilst sniggering to themselves and the rest is history.

You have to wonder how this bloke ever got through the trials to become a pro. I've played with better Footballers than him who ultimately didn't make it.
