We will definitely be going 352 to match up with them.

Although why Spurs need 3 cb's against one of the most toothless Utd attacks of the PL era is anyone's guess.

I reckon it's going to be a real bore fest. Glad I'm still away and missing it.

This really is a sad state of affairs when you can not get excited over a home game with Spurs.

Absolutely and it won't be moved until they score.

Never want to see my team lose but a good old thumping tonight and I can't see him lasting much longer than the Burnley game. Int break too after that game so the club might see that as a good time to get rid.

It's getting to the point for me where some short term suffering may be required for us to move forwards again as a club. If all we achieve this year is bringing a capable DOF in and getting rid of Jose for a more attack minded coach.....I'd take that now.

Pathetic

Genuinely one of most childish things I’ve ever seen written on here. Doesn’t matter how many games you’ve gone to, you’ve just proven to be a coward.

You don't think Nobb. Do you think I enjoy seeing the team I have ploughed money into for 27 years lose? Of course I don't. It hurts.

Utd need to move on from Jose (and Woodward). If losing a few PL games means that happens quickly, so be it. I'm already looking forward to the future. This season has all the hallmarks of the Titanic.

Suarez scoring the fifth against us at WHL and ending AVB's reign was probably the only time I was delighted to see Spurs concede.

Sometimes it's needed when there is no future under a manager. Hopefully we will help you guys out with this tonight

Robb still thinks Jose is the right guy. That's the most worrying thing here. I did too when he joined but I'm man enough to admit how hopelessly wrong I was.

Glad I'm not there tonight. If Spurs don't 'do a Spurs' then we could be in a whole heap of trouble.

He's a troubled guy. I want us to improve that's why I want him out. Robb would rather us continue playing this dire football.

I would never wish for our team to lose, or hope they lost to get the manager sacked, even for Jose.

That said, I am not excited about tonight's match because of what I expect our team to serve up.

I didn't say I wanted us to if you read it again. I said the upside to us getting a thumping could be him going. Short term pain for long term gain etc.

I hate us losing any game. It's horrible. However I'm sick of the circus of it all now. Can't wait till he's gone.

I'm pretty sure SE85's sentiments are not dissimilar to those that have crossed many of ours minds.

I don't want us to lose anymore than anyone else, but a good tanking from someone decent might just be a bit of short term pragmatic pain that has longer term positives.

9 times out of 10 watching us play is painful enough as it is. The results are almost elementary, so if the results happen to be as bad as the football then that will spell the end of Mourinho's reign.

Robb hasn't got the brains to work this out though.

I want us to kick on and fully believe this can't be achieved until dumb n dumber have been relieved of their duties. Jose has to go firstly. Woodward also needs far less say on football matters and hopefully a DOF type person can come in soon.

I've had enough of the Jose circus.

City n Liverpool competing for the title and Leeds looking like returning to the PL. Shudder.

But it is what it is. Utd need to get things sorted. We're going nowhere under the current structure.

I've never been one for football tribalism - the notion of supporting a team is a pretty weird one when you break it down but I participate in that charade in good faith and with a bit of self awareness.

With that in mind it's a shame to see our football compared to Liverpool's. They play in a way that is entertaining and fun to watch and one suspects we're going to see them continue to compete for trophies. Their transfer targets and signings clearly fit a certain profile too and everything seems quite coherent.

It's quite remarkable how poorly planned (if planned at all), the transition from Fergie has been.

Am going tonight and looking forward to it.

Jose is going nowhere right now, he wont walk and they wont sack him, so we really have to make sure we win this one. Im hoping desperately that he might let the horses loose at first (though I hear that Martial is missing) at least until we get the lead and then he will no doubt call for Fellaini and Co to work their bus parking skills to give Spurs a chance to get something out of it in the end. A bit like the Lpool game.

Much as I would like to see him go, as a Red I cant bring myself to hope to see us lose just for the sake of it. It would also mean that the season is almost scuppered after just 3 games. There is a long way to go before we fly any white flags.

So I won't.

Again I didn't say I hoped we lose. Just pointed out that if we did and the performance wasn't there either then his departure is getting much closer. So it would at least be an upside. I hate seeing us lose like the rest of you. It's awful.

If Spurs turn up and do a Spurs we might get a reprieve. However if they are on their game I fear for us tonight from what I've seen in our first two games.
