I read that as he's staying..

Agree though I think now is the time for him to go unless he signs a new contract, which wouldn't surprise me either btw..

"A man without his his word, is nothing.

A real man keeps his word."

Not sure how that could be read as meaning he wants to stay, let be honest here, if he wanted to stay he would have been playing tonight...

Lawell is stubborn and won't like this move by Moussa, so i'm not ruling out us digging our heels in and keeping him until January.

Maybe he’s implying he’s staying as he signed a contract?

Or Lawell is backtracking on a promise made

Either way we find out later today

I've NEVER held it against a player staying or going, it's their life and good luck tae them 👍

That said I love if he stayed, he is a great player and know he'd make us better but if he goes? well gid luck to him👏

He's a very good young player but he's no Henke. I loved that man 😢

Anything near £20m and he should be let go.

I think Lyon have low balled it at the final hurdle and we’ve walked away from the table. Whether they come back or not is up to them but if they don’t it opens it up for other clubs. Gamble for both sides and I trust our board to do the best thing for us

Smacks oh there’s been talks with BR in the past ‘give us another year, and when the time is right and a good club you really want to move to co es in then we won’t stand in your way’

Agreed, if the offer isn't close to our valuation we have to walk away and see what happens with any other interested parties or even hold off until January, otherwise all the other players at the club will be devalued in the process and it would encourage disruptive behaviour like the tweet and Boyata's mini strike.

Yep, I suspect that will be the meaning, although it might be Lawell.

Do you think Rodgers is just a mouthpiece for the board then?

posted on 31/8/18

I don’t players get to sit with Lawell, I would hope not anyway. A player should be knocking on a managers door to discuss their future, otherwise what’s the point

No, I think he's part of the team, I don't think there is any real issue between himself and the board, he knows that Moussa is on the way out sooner or later and he will be doing his bit to get the best deal for Celtic, which would hopefully lead to more investment.

I don't so much mean moussa has been made promises directly by Lawell, it would most likely be via his agent or directly from Brendan to Moussa.

Whatever happens we’re losing one of our best players in a long time so I personally don’t care much about any of the politics

posted on 31/8/18

As soon as Lyon were seriously linked with Dembele, didn’t their chairman say something along the lines of Lawwell being a bulldog at the negotiating table?

I suspect this is Pistol doing what he does to get the best deal possible.

Moussa only bothers his ar$e half the time as it is,

Absolute nonsense.

The boy played at 30% fit in Athens and done more than anyone else that night and he was only on for half an hour.

I’d love him to stay but he deserves his move, been an unbelieveable player for us and is bringing in a good sum of money.

changes my opinion of the boyata situation this one tbh.

Agreed, he made a huge difference when he came on. Also agree on your comment about his effort. Will be disappointing to see him go and I would prefer he waited until January at the earliest, but we always knew he was destined for bigger things. I actually believed he would see out his contract.

Boyata makes a difference too, love him or hate him, but he seems really determined and concentrated right now, which is good. If they have both been told that they can leave in January, please plan ahead and get players lined up!
