Martin off to Hull apparently.
Sad to read that Vidal, would rather have him at Derby. Think he is better than Waghorn by a country mile.
*RAISING THE BAR*:-
Are intelligence and happiness tied together in any way? If you are highly intelligent, is it more likely that you’ll be more, or less happy?
---------------------------------------------------------------------
If you are happier if you are more intelligent then RFB must be a miserable sod.
Waghorn is a good player. I hope that Chris Martin fans won't be looking to criticise him just because they hoped that Martin would stay.
Martin to anywhere will do me just fine ... did a job for us but a long way past his best. Best of luck to him though.
Chris Martin deserves to be at a better club than Hull and I can only speculate that it’s his recent injuries that have prevented a move to a club more suited to his undoubted talents... in the right set-up he’s one of the best No9’s in the division but this is Lampard’s team and he wants to go another way, as is his prerogative.
I wish Chris Martin well and only hope he finds a better supporter than the likes of Peeder at any new club.
All the best to CM, did a good job for us when he was fit.
At least he won't be contacting Shelter for somewhere to live.
UTR
Surprised about the comment of Martin 'being twice the player as Waghorn by a country mile.'
If that is correct, then clearly Lampard knows bu99er all.
Chris Martin has been excellent for Derby, I wish him well. Waghorn is a different type of player and I very much look forward to seeing more of him playing in this exciting new set up.
“A long way past his best” Peeder you have a screw loose.
He has never had a bad season when played in a 433. Speed has never been his game and at 29 his coming into his best years as a hold up man. Great feet great vision. Better than Waghorn what’s not to like?
I confess to being a little disappointed in Lampard for not realising what his got.
Frank is a smart lad. Probably he DOES realise what he's got, but thinks that Martin's wages, fitness issues and lack of mobility outweigh the positives. Fans of Martin assume he can play like the Martin of old but he's had a serious illness and has played very little football.
How small was the football Vidal?
Is that an attempt at humour, Scouse?
It could have worked - but needed the "a" very little football
Yes, it's meaningless without the "a". But then if I had inserted an "a" in the sentence in question it would have made no sense. "Martin has played a very little football". It would need to be "Martin has played WITH a very little football". But why would I have said that? In the context of discussing Martin's situation at Derby it would be irrelevant whether he might once upon a time have played with a very little football.
All in all it's been a disastrous episode for Scouse. People should think these things through a bit before posting.
Being "a disaster" on here Vidal is the least of my woes ATM
Come come Scouse. We are all here to help. You have an exciting prediction league, a fascinating encounter tomorrow, and ladies World Cup qualifiers tonight. Not to mention the cricket.
What ails you young fella me lad?
Nothing too serious Heb. Just stuck in Florence airport waiting for my flight home at 6 p.m. (via Frankfurt) after my original one at 1 p.m. was cancelled. By the time I get home it'll be well past midnight, (instead of teatime).
Was supposed to be having a night out with Mrs Scouse as well!
Start to the weekend ruined by crappy German fitters who can't service a Tiger Moth properly!
............... any crofting jobs up for grabs Heb?
Suck it up Scouse, the joys of international travel. You've just had a paid weeks holiday FFS without using any annual leave.
