Ye sane is a worry. Because I thought he only got going last season when mendy got injured

I haven't seen a replay of their goal but it looked like Sterling ran about 100 metres to try and cover the back post. Just a second too late but I thought that was what Mendy was there for.

I'm convinced Sane is actually Simon Barlow off Coronation St.

He's got a lot on his mind at the moment.

Mahrez seems to be trying too hard and is too easy to defend against predictably cutting in onto his left foot. Ironically his best cross was with his right so he should do that more often. Am worried about Sane, was amongst the best last season and his run to set up the third against Newcastle last season was worth the price of admission on its own. Losing him to accommodate Mahrez would be such a bad thing so I hope it is sorted. I also thought Jesus was onside, at least compared to last weeks handball goal, but maybe it was a marginal decision so fair enough. Newcastle had clearly taken advice from Mourinho on how to play football but that will happen a lot this season.
We seem to be having a world cup hangover, downside of having the most players there perhaps. Not sure I would have made Walker the MOTM, he did ok, like everyone else but I didn't think anyone really shone. Hopefully we can start to click soon.

He's a left footed, free kick specialist and he had 2 oppurtunities today yet Silva and Aguero took the kicks.

Maybe his confidence is low.

Guardian reports Sane lazy in training and that's why he's out. Maybe he's peeed off because his place has been taken by Mahrez who appears to me to be pretty crap at the moment.

If this was April rather than September then I think Pep would have swapped Bernardo for Mahrez at HT.

I think klopp is a hypocrite.. he defending mane when he kicked ederson in the face.... but he goes at ramos alot for doing it on purpose

One area we really miss him is in breaking from defence. Without him we just don't seem to get out nearly quick enough.

Looking at it on MOTD the Newcastle keeper was robbed of the Man of the Match award.
