No panic

Agreed, I think the anger is that within one week we have completely wasted the united result.

After that I was hoping for an outside title race but today confirmed to me it's top 4 at best again.

For me it's better not to be runaway leaders because they rarely last the pace. It's far better to be in close touch with the leaders and play the best football at the end of the season.

Liverpool will be very tough with so many of their players able to score and I'm not too hopeful of a result.

Genius, poor performance all round today. Moura and Sanchez were OK, but the rest very poor. But hey it is just one game, Spurs third away game of the season, already won two, so a decent start, if a surprise loss. Game was under control at 1-0 without Spurs not playing well, but on top, then the last 20 minutes, they basically allowed Watford to take control, and score from two set pieces. Then they tried to get back into it, but Watford defended well.

My main beef though is Poch is still tinkering with the back four every match, it is starting to show, as it was last season.

We move on though, not the end of the world, one match does not make a season.

We could have drawn at Old Toilet and Watford and been still unbeaten but 1 point worse off.

Pool are perfectly beatable, just as long as we get a straight referee, they are not at all as good as the media are making out.

Title race is still on for me. Not throwing the towel in after four games, and just one defeat.

I expect a reaction against Liverpool and a win.

Interesting post match interview with Poch. Says he was trying all week to to get them to keep their feet on his ground and stop thinking they were better then they are after the Man U result. They clearly didn’t listen.

Dele just faffing about like he’s having a kick about down the park, barely even interested and so much complacency from of the rest.

The old Spurs curse.

Poch has to take some of the blame for tinkering again. I thought that was all behind us, but seems it isn`t.

He really does have to make his mind up re full backs and central defenders. He has to stop sitting on the fence, and upset a few players by putting them on the bench for a while. Cannot keep changing the back four every other game as he is now doing.

The bad habits of not defending set pieces never went away. Spurs have not had a decent central defender that can head a ball away from the danger area for donkeys years. It is a modern trait, all ball playing on the ground central defenders, when what you need is just somebody who can get his head to any ball that comes into the box first. None of our central defenders ever do. Also shows why none of them score many goals at the other end. They just are not very good in the air. Most teams have a central defender who can chip in with half a dozen goals season. Spurs do not.

Definitely Spurs achilles heel defending set pieces.

out muscled, exposed Spurs soft under belly, praised Poch last week but honestly Llorente for Toby, had enough forwards on there just not achieving anything, Needed someone like Dier in amongst them

Difficult to recall off hand but didn't Chelsea fall back after being quite a few points ahead one season?

I don't think so, whenever we have built up a big lead we have never blown it.

Had the minor scare with you guys cutting our lead from 10 to 4 in 2017 but that's about it.

Poch is a fine technical manager. However, I wonder if he had his team mentally prepared for todays match? No one game is a push-over, even when playing a small club like Watford.

Not a good result as they now have two weeks to think about it!

Beating Utd seemed to be the citadel for us and we certainly became too confident.
