I was on with the leading group. Waving a flag in a blue top. Two blokes with me.

Peeder sometimes I get fed up using the 24 hour clock.
I don’t always use the correct NATO phonetic alphabet especially when taking amongst friends.

Just a bit of a rebel

Non football related but the tour of British is passing the camp gates in about an hour and a half before going up the Burton Dassett climb about a mile distant.
I'll be going up the hill to watch it in a minute or two and I'll be flying my REME corps flag for good measure. Hopefully the cameras will pick it up. So if anyone is watching have a look for a 6ft, 18 stone lump with grey hair and loud shorts furiously flag waving.
It's due through between 1430 and 3pm.

That makes your BMI 34, Rameses.
Watch how frantically you wave that flag !

Thanks for the heads-up though

Never call me fat again then angram you bloater: leading a cushy life in a REME WkSp then mate?

According to my bmi of 30.1 I'm now obese. Because I'm 98kg at 5ft11. But you can clearly see my abs. Maybe this bmi thing isn't all it's cracked up to be. Much like the England team.

I’m actually 6’1” and 17 st 12lb, I was just rounding up and down. That makes me considerably less fat doesn’t it?

RFB it’s a tough job but someone has to do it

Your just clutching at straws Harps. You just turn to blubber when you stop training. So the key is work out everyday for ever or just let it go.
Letting it go after 40 is acceptable by the way. That’s my excuse anyway.

Vidal might tell us, but BMI doesn't seem to take hunks like you & Waghorn into account, Harps

Getting into the spirit of things I have just been assessed for market by Dr Heb.

I'm 5' 4 " tall and an impressive 8 and a half stone. Arms and legs like knotty pipe cleaners . Fit for purpose

And I qualify for a BMI apparently.....

Never gonna stop Rameses. No dad bod for me, ever. I enjoy participating in my boys gymnastics class, doing things most of the other parents can only dream of.

You're right though Ang, according to bmi, if you're hench, you're obese. Body composition is the real measure.

What on earth is a hench?

Still work out in the gym at my advanced age. Don't like the steroidal carpet carrier look though. BMI 23, normal blood pressure, cholesterol and blood sugar. Lean muscle rather than bulk. Not bad for an old geezer.

Ah! Middle aged men in a hench-off! Impressive!

Heb, hench is a "down with the kids" way of saying I'm swole.

Nor do I spart, I train purely for strength so I hide the weight well, I don't think I look like I should be nearly 100kg. I think most of the weight is in my thighs which are almost 28 inches when pumped after a leg session. That and my joocy ghetto booty.

posted on 5/9/18

I'm only 36 heb, not quite middle aged just yet.

Ha ha, well just think yourself lucky that you didn't end up working for the Navy; have you ever heard of the 'dockyard run-around'?

Well done Harps, respect as ever. I am more Gollum but with hair.

Do I trump you all, 52 years of age, 83 K since gods knows I can remember, 32" waist with a belt, never tested my jeans without one though so a 30" is possible and swimming shoulders, never did a day in the gym worth talking about, hips, knees and hands getting a little on but nothing to put me in a nursing home anytime soon.

Without doubt, need to cut back on the lush and vaping has cut out the morning cough but while it looks well from the outside, it's what goes on inside the body that counts.

My dad died at 58 never having had alcohol ever and quit the smokes in 1969, if it's in the genes you have to keep an eye and listen to the temple.

My waist is 34 inches but I have to wear 38 or 40 inch waist jeans to be able to fit my legs into them without cutting off circulation. Hence I mainly wear trackpants, I need my bo11ock space.

I must measure my thighs to compare to yours mate

What am I up against?

posted on 5/9/18

27 inches cold, almost 28 pumped.
