We found him in Calais........

Might explain why he was OK for 5 minutes after coming on and then disappeared.

Aren't we suppose to have medicals performed on players before we sign them?

"Each year, we do cardiac tests. I did my test, but the cardiologist told me there was something bizarre, something different to last year.”

Perhaps bother to read the link before you gob off, eh?

Anyway, Wales v Ireland and lashings of Derby talent potentially on display.

Although I have a meeting. About fish.

Poor guy. But at least they caught it early with Abdul, and thankfully it will be one less ".....dies during match" headline.

It's 2 0 now. The Irish must realise that they don't have a chance unless they play Keogh.

Shame we didn’t find out about his heart condition before we wasted nearly £2m on him. Has to be 1 of the worst players I have seen play for Derby. Let Dawkins go for next to nowt and replaced him with this clown

posted on 6/9/18

Dawkins wasn't much better once he got a contract. Similar to Bent I felt they performed to earn a contract and then took it easy.

Camara may have improved, who knows? I wonder if the club helped him settle properly in to the city etc...

We signed Albentosa and Camara and built a great deal of hype around these two. I wonder if we actually allowed them to settle? ( saying that, Albentosa ran as though he was stuck in treacle.)

All the best to Camara. Hope he finds a role in football if that makes him happy.

I wouldn't class him as one of the worst Griffiths, you forget Mikel Beck, Ashley Ward, the Norwegian defender Jimbo hyped up. Lee Morris, Jay bloody McEvely, Eddie Lewis.

We certainly had worse.

posted on 6/9/18

Camara was signed a year after Albentosa. Are you serious saying Ashley ward was worse than Camara? Ward played in the premier and didn’t disgrace himself. Camara wasn’t good enough to play in the championship. Even the Derby players couldn’t understand how he was at Derby. Beck played international football and a lot of games in the prem. Lee Morris played a fair few games in the prem and was a decent championship player. Lewis and mceverly were far better players than Camara. Camara took a corner on his debut at Hartlepool and it went out for a goalkick before it even got to the 6 yard box. Now that takes some doing. Nearly £2m was wasted on him, so yes he is 1 of the worst I’ve seen at Derby, worse than Paul Emson even Emson could create and score the odd goal

Camera was exceptionally bad, reportedly scouted by our other Camera?

Not even the 'YouTube highlights' reel made him look any good, lots of runs, followed by losing the ball or choosing what was obviously the wrong pass, and some flukey messy goals.

Questions must be asked over who authorized that signing, especially as he was signed at a time we were looking likely to be promoted and clearly with the Premiership in mind.

We let better players go than Camera, still surprised we let Prijovic go without giving him a real chance for example, always thought he looked alright and hasn't done too badly for himself. Others haven't fared quite as well but I feel had more potential than we saw.

Grenet was possibly a worse signing, also from the French league. That one is more difficult to understand because he had a genuinely good reputation before arriving here, but was completely hopeless.

Had not Huth's hand prevented Camara scoring a last minute goal to beat Leicester we would have better memories. Always thought Camara looked good running at players for the first few minutes he was on the pitch. He would then fade which may have been due to his dodgy ticker. Why he, or Albentosa, or Blackman were signed is still a mystery but someone must have seen something in them. I did mention at the time that it was a bit suspicious that the only player scouted by Camara was Camara.

Camara was definitely a better footballer than Jaymac.

And for some inexplicable reason he played for England.

I'm with Griff, Camara was utterly useless, one of the worst.

Was he one of Sam Rush's boys?

I remember watching Camara play for the U21s. Worst player on the pitch.

Do you would rather have Camara in the side than Jay Mac? Explain to me how Camara was better?

Doyle cost nothing and at 19 years old had more potential than a 26 year old Camara at nearly £2m. Doyle under the right coaching could have been a better player like the Serbian lad Perkovic

Nick Oucketing did ok in his 2nd season at Derby. Scored the winner away at Man Utd

Maybe Steve Biggins or Sean Lane were worse.

Mighty Scotland against plucky little Belgium tonight

Ashley Ward cost us £1 million way back then, in the market when we purchased Camara I expect Ward to cost more. I wasn't impressed by him. Nor do I think he contributed a great deal during his time with us.

Morris cost us 3 million way back then, with hype he's faster than Michael Owen... What happened to Morris?

Claude Davis, could add him to the list.

I guess I'm looking at both cost and ability.

Camara was a first team player for a French side that were 3rd in the league. For his sh*t crosses he also supplied decent ones too, vs WBA in the FA cup I believe?

Sure, he wasn't a world beater, I felt he was raw, who could with decent coaching and learning the Championship way have become 'squad player' level.

I'd have Camara over McEvely any day!

If he was 17 or 18 years old maybe he would be raw but he was 26 or 27 when he signed. How much coaching would he need at his age?

Even some of the players I’ve spoke to said he was the worst player they have ever seen at this level.
Jay Mac did a job for Derby for 3 different managers.
