IwasYong has selfies with Kel Roos who he bumped into on Sadlergate, MLS star Johnny Russell in Sainsbury’s, Premier league star Cyrus Christie and the hottest young talent in the world currently ripping up the premier league, the one and only Sir William of Hughes. Sainsbury’s in town is the place to be.

Birkenhead!

He lived in Liverpool you numpty.

They were in the 1st Division, (now known as the Championship).

Does anyone else wish we still had divisions 1 to 4?

Can anyone tell me how the Euro qualifiers work. I’m a bit confused.

Normal group stages will count for 20 of the 24 places. 4 places will come from the nation's league. 1 from each of the 4 groups.
This video explains how those 4 teams are selected.

I have to be honest and say I'd not heard of the Nation's League until this week. Did the FA promote this much?

Who knows. It’s not been on hyped up on terrestrial tv but that could be because it’s not being shown on terrestrial tv.

But it’s not about raising more revenue as UEFA have explained in their blurb:

Is this just about generating more revenue?

No, finances are not a driver for the new competition. However, the competition will have the same centralised media rights as have recently been introduced for all European Qualifiers so associations will have even more stability in their income.

So it’s not and if you believe that you’ll believe anything. The mere fact that they’ve addressed the question in their official blurb tell us they think we think that that is what it’s all about.

You can watch a few "B" listers prancing around in sparkly outfits though!

It's like domestic European football, since it was moved from ITV and now exclusively on Sky and BT it's appeal has gone. It's been some time since I heard some Andy Townsend commentary.

We used to cheer on the likes of Liverpool and Aberdeen as if it was Britain taking on Europe. It was a real tv event as the only live football was the FA cup final and European nights.
Good days and both completions destroyed by sky and the self serving football authorities.

B listers? They are nearer Z.

I hated football on ITV mainly because of Glenn Hoddle and Townsend, but the way immediately a match they would go to 7 minutes of adverts just when you could soak up the atmosphere.

They've called up Gray and Chilwell from Leicester, still no Will...Southgate out.
