Courtois' so annoying whenever he opens his mouth. It's not the fact he's a mercenary, wasn't the first in football and won't be the last, it's his blatant lack of sensitivity and intelligence (the latter especially is so irritating).

He had the perfect genuine PR excuse to join Real (his kids), the fact he didn't publicize that reason and keep his mouth shut about everything else suggests he either believes fans are stupid, he's stupid, or he doesn't care about coming across like a prat.

I think Courtois is just stupid. It’s so simple to get fans on your side - just say how great it is here and you’ll work hard to make the club successful. That’s it. The fans will love you for it. And never ever use Twitter - nothing good ever came of expressing yourself publicly on social media.
