I was at the first two games mentioned in the thread. Didn't enjoy the first lol.
I had a ticket for the 1979 league decider at celtic park for the rangers end. Buses were off and I think it was a Monday evening and I did not go. I was very young at the time. Celtic won 4-2. Glad I did not go! 😀

Also, I had a ticket ( still got it), for the Wales v Scotland match , which we drew 1-1 and big jock died.
Couldn't go for work reasons. Was a great match and result but obviously very sad ending. Not something you wish you had attended. Up till that point it was a great evening.

Just remembered no TV cameras were at that match, due to a TV dispute I think. So i didn't see the game, so in my mind, it never really happened. 😀

The time span between buying tickets and the concert taking place is huge now. I had tickets to see Robert Plant and on the way to work one morning I read a review of the gig in the metro.

I completely forgot all about it.

Shakter Karagandy home game. Was my first night on holiday in Rome, had a feeling it would be a special night and it played out like it with a last minute winner. Bouncing about a bar in Rome myself

Spartak Moscow pen shoot out or the Karagandy game.

First one i was in Tenerife with my then burd, took her husband to a pub a good 15-20 minute jog away from the hotel to watch ET and penalties as the hotel had to shut the bar.

He ended up getting carted away on a stretcher to an ambulance with a heart scare i can laugh now.

2nd one was in Australia, game was on at like 2.45am over there so woke up to the result and watched the highlights, looked absolutely bouncing.
