Sad for the fans, especially as club started the season so well.
Hate to see any club go through this having experienced it ourselves. Interesting to see the level of punishment meted out.
It's a salutary lesson for those supporters constantly bemoaning the lack of expenditure at Leeds United. The bottom line is we can only afford what we can afford.
I think Birmingham City are going to go through turmoil soon too. I shan't shed a tear for Mr Monk.....
Started with sacking of megson and bringing in coyle
Started when they started spending more than they could afford. That’s in the boardroom rarely the dugout.

Could probably say it started before that. Towards the end of the Allardyce era. The then chairman wouldn't increase the budget (despite him getting European football) so Allardyce moved on. Then they allowed Megson to splash the cash. Strange really.
Yes it's -12 now but I'm hearing they are trying to raise funds to stop admin.
Nothing concrete yet but the points deduction has not been actioned yet.
4 draw or wins turned to loses, and still having to play all matches remaining matches. Thats a big task.
*4 wins turned to losses, not draws
Unlikely to happen now Agreement has been made. Link to the live blog https://www.theboltonnews.co.uk/news/16833684.latest-updates-as-bolton-wanderers-seek-to-avoid-administration/. Rumour Eddie Davies has bailed the club out again. Only rumour not fact.

hope it works out benny.
No admin according to Blumarble.
What the EFL do however, is another thing entirely.
Not Eddie Davies, that rumour wrong, local business man called Michael James. No administration as reported, no news yet of what action the EFL will take. What's next? The club owe money left right and centre and ken Anderson hasn't the money to fund the club. Looks like the club have been robbing Peter to pay Paul for months. That's with over £10m raised selling holding , Clough and madine.
15 points, who gives a &@£#
We're super Leeds and we're going up
Long short tall, it’s a long season, but then again who gives a $@£#.
Hope they get it sorted. I'd like to see them do well instead of the constant financial nightmares they get drawn into.
Incredibly bad news Eddie Davies has passed away aged 72.
As we didn't actually go into administration I think the likelihood of having points deducted is negligible. Ihope I'm right.
Thanks to you supporters who offered sympathy with our plight. On a sad note, our ex-owner Eddie Davies passed away yesterday..
Looks like the EFL did everything to avoid giving you any points deduction and rules were broken. Which is very good news for you.
We on the other hand got nice hefty -15 for breaching EFL rules (after the initial -10), no let off.
Since we did NOT go into administration nor do a very shady Ken Bates led deal in order to avoid actually paying our debts I'd say the circumstances are very different lufc-Harrogate.
Furthermore we haven't broken any rules at all. The only thing that happened is BluMarble decided to renege on a deal they'd already agreed to and tried to grab all their cash plus interest in one go but had to back down when they realised it wasn't there and if they proceeded they'd become liable for the club's other debts. Wisely they decided they'd accept the offer they'd already said yes to once already after all.
Finally, as to us having debts all over the place no we don't, at least not the way some posters on here mean. All the remaining debts are being properly serviced as per the individual agreements reached to do so.
With that said, Karl Henry seems to feel he's owed a bonus of some kind I think it's significant that he chose to voice that on Twitter without talking to the club, EFL or even the PFA first. If he is owed the money then of course he should be paid but surely he would have been better going to the professionals who could have helped expedite that rather than having a tantrum on social media?
Put this on the match thread but hey ho. Here's kens take on it https://www.bwfc.co.uk/news/2018/september/a-note-from-the-chairman5/
