I hated FIFA 18 so wasn't going to bother with this, but some of the new modes look interesting particularly the survival mode so may pick this up if I can find it cheap enough.

Currently playing PES 19 which is decent enough.

I’ve preordered, will smash you when it comes out Nick.

I hated 18 when it first came out. It, like everything in life, seems to be geared towards the rich getting richer. Everyone has these elite teams now and it has killed the competition of it imo.

Survival mode?

I don’t play Fifa online tbh.

Looking forward to it having the CL so I can take a league 2 club to the top!

For each goal you score you have to take a player off mike.

So if you grab 3 early goals it'll be tough lol

Playing football games online for me is the only thing I get them for, that and playing mates with a few beers.

I found online I either only ever played the same teams, or everyone played unrealistic formations with shiyte players as long as they were rapid and every game was just nothing like a game of football. That and people quitting all the time.

I just have it set on the hardest setting and play a career with a poor side and try to get promotion, make signings to go up the leagues etc.

Is that just online too? Would be fun with mates round.

That is a problem to be honest, Real Madrid on FIFA 17 were all you would play against. I've found if you play with 3 - 4 star teams you get more of a mix of teams you come up against.

posted on 12/9/18

Think Dortmund were 4 or 4.5 star on one game sonif you went a bit lower to avoid Barca/Real it was always them or Napoli etc.

Pro clubs is my preferred game mode got summat like 300 games on 17 but clubs on 18 was shiiit. Barely played 50 games it was that bad. Hopefully EA pull their finger out and put some effort in on 19 but it doesn't look like happening from what I'm hearing from the beta.

Usually get it but have found myself not going on it as much th last few years. Not planning to get it this year

I only play FUT in FIFA, usually the weekend league. Decent game mode, but too many good players online and my squad usually can't compete.

Anyone fancies a game, I'd be happy to teach them a lesson

posted on 12/9/18

haha yeah it's all I did play but since the WC I haven't played normal FUT.

Just online co op nowadays.

I play fifa for the Alex Hunter mode, seasons and play with mates/online with my bro.

FUT such a waste of time and money IMO. What is the difference between the normal and expensive game?

Back when I was a decent player, we had a 606 league. I did pretty well.

Expensive version you get more packs or something. People waste too much money on it now...

posted on 12/9/18

Oh right, if the difference is FUT then I'm going as cheap as poss.

I still can't believe games cost £70 now though, when I was first buying these consoles it wasn't much more than that.

I'm not completely sure but I'm sure last year the different editions were to do with FUT.

Standard edition will cost around £45-50.

I think Red Dead is going for £70 apparently, which is disgraceful

Well that's the thing, money isn't an issue for me, house hunting aside.
But with NBA, FIFA, Red Dead, spiderman, fallout and other games that I actually like, I can't make a case for spending all that money if they are 70 quid.
