Rarely British players play outside UK so John Terry should have gone to Russia to play there in my view!Only Steve McManaman,Micheal Owen and Sir Bobby Robson have properly ventured outside British football!I do love JT and some people criticising him for celebrating Chelsea winning Champions League despite being suspended for the final are way stupid and have ridiculous reasons to target JT on doing that!

With no-name. He needs to play for a low block team, couldn't heck the high line in the peak of his powers let alone now. Attach himself to Allardyce, Pullis, or go to Serie A if he fancies a few more playing years.

With the high line becoming a prominent fixture of the modern game with philosophies like gegenpressing/vertical passing tiki taka (i.e. SarriBall) taking off, in hindsight Terry might go down as one of the last great "old school" defenders. Him or Chris Smalling anyway

This is so bizarre, people seem to forget we played a high line and had our back four on the half way line for the whole of jose's first spell.

Maybe, but the difference between Jose and Sarri/Lampard is when we lost the ball under Mou he would prioritize dropping back into shape over pressing high, Sarri and Lamps do the opposite and are only an accurate few passes away from the defense being exposed.

Terry welcome back as a coach said Sarri in his presser today.

He'd be useful to have in the dressing room and would help our current CBs, especially the youngsters - Ampadu and Christensen

We also lack leaders within the squad so another reason to have him back

No name I don't in any way think he could play it now but just saying we use to press up on teams a lot back in his prime, but we did have ricky c and co covering.

We never played a high line under Jose, we didn't need too. The five man midfield was pushing the two man midfield of the 442 back naturally, but we weren't pressing high off the ball. Again because we didn't need too because of Makelele's exceptional reading of the game.

The only true high line (the way the modern game adopts it) we played was under AVB. And yeah.... Terry didn't like it very much
