For some reason I feel safer with 4. Full backs on their respective wide men. Toby and Vert to deal with Firmino and cover should the full back get beaten.
Didn't appreciate we lined up with 3 vs them in the 4-1.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
But the thing is our Fbs wouldn’t be in thier wide men as they push up so much it would leave gaps behind.

Id question Sons commitment to be honest. He deserted his country military service.

For Spurs. Lloris would've missed the World Cup final if Spurs had a friendly that day.
Son might be on the bench only he has played a lot of football lately and Poch might turn to Lamela. He does like Lamela for the big games.
Always forget Lamela plays for us.
That’s assuming Lamela can get through the warm up

a disciplined 4. Although appreciate Poch wouldn't want us playing that way. Can't picture Dier keeping pace with Salah or Mane whilst covering the FB
Shame wanyamas not on it. Dier in the back 5 and Wanyama nd Dembele midfield i'd love for this game.
With our full backs im always going to be worried tbf.

like the thought of Lucas and Son pinning back their fullbacks but suspect we might go with Lamela on one side.
I'd play 4 at the back.
Their front 3 of Mané, Salah and Firmo will be difficult to defend against.
A back 4 with Dier dropping in will help deal with their threat.
with Vorm in goal we will be conceding at least 2, so need a big game from the forwards.

he's one of the better back-up keepers out there. Rather him than Mignolet, Ospina, Caballero, Hart

Yeah it's a bit OTT. Although i agree he's a worryingly short keeper and even more dodgy than Lloris (who has somewhat improved) with the ball at his feet.
We need a long term goal keeping prospect. I believe Vorm was extended a year to allow us another year to scout one

hes not THAT bad, but hes a big step down from lloris, who himself I think isn't as good as many make out.
the problem I have with vorm is that he is a small keeper.. and as he gets older he gets less agile, naturally. to compensate this I think he would be ok with regular football, but the odd game here and there he just doesn't save anything unless its straight at him.
that said, I had to eat my words a couple of years ago against Liverpool at the lane, when he made one of the best saves I have ever seen in the flesh. cant remember who it was from, but it was at the Paxton end.

You sure that wasn't Lloris' save from Coutinho's shot? The one he somehow pushed on to the bar?
Vorm is okay but needs a few games to get going.

I know the game you mean. He also made another great save and won 2/3 crucial 50/50's, where if he hadn't, he would've been sent off or left an open goal.
