Levy truly effd this season

It feels like they think they've given their best and come up short last season. Without signings going into the new season they're in a mental state of stagnating and almost admitting they won't win. There is no change to motivate them into believing they can do better - stadium delayed means they don't have that buzz. No signings means there's no-one with fresh energy and drive like Lucas has shown.

The squad needed freshening up. We knew there could be an issue with the World Cup and many of our players involved. Kane looking tired is not surprising at all, and I and probably others had reservations about this going into the next season in regards to not doing enough business, and even then I wasn't expecting us to do absolutely NOTHING.

Funny how our most newest signing is the one that's been our best player this season, Moura. Does that not show how new signings can improve a team?

It looks at the moment like a team and manager who are resigned to thinking we're not going to win anything this season and who can blame them.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
All we need to do is to break this 2-1 losing streak, when we do we'll be off and running.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeah well any time they want to start as we're all waiting.

Contrast to Liverpool who have won their first 5 games and are currently beating PSG. They all must be thinking they can win the title.

The defeats this season are nothing to do with levy. Players that last couple of seasons could defend set pieces and were solid are now playing like caaaants and the manager is making questionable decision after questionable decision. To blame levy for the start of this season is absolutely laughable.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

12 of the 36 league goals we conceded last season were from set pieces. We were among the worst when it comes to that.

Instead of thinking they've got top four and reached CL final so next year everyone will improve and keep stability they've identified weaknesses and strengthened.

Even if they don't win they'll have the drive and hope of going further. If they make no signings this summer gone i doubt they'd have the start they do.

They've shown the ambition that they've needed to show. We have shown no ambition other than holding down players at the start of the summer who must have thought there'd be some business being done, only to now be let down that there wasn't. Players want to see clubs be ambitious like us fans do. Danny Rose opening up should have been a warning and Levy didn't heed it.

Showing ambition is all you can do at the end of the day. Had fans on here defending our zero spend by suggesting signings don't guarantee success - well no sh*t Sherlock ain't that enlightening.

We had chances to win that game and they weren’t taken. That’s a fact. Another fact is that a quality CM would be demanding the ball at 1-0 with 10 mins left because he knows he can take care of the ball under pressure so if he’s being pressed, he’ll find the players in the spaces vacated or draw a foul to waste time and therefore stop them building any momentum. Some or even a lot of you are probably sick to death of me banging on about midfielders with technical ability as opposed to physical specimens but this is a prime example of why I go on about it. Our midfield wanted no part of the ball and just kept kicking it away in a panic. You kill the game off by having the ball or if they go gung-ho it allows those with the ball to release the likes of Lucas or Son to run into the empty spaces and kill them off with another goal.

But no, according to Poch and Levy, we’re good as we are. Keane can talk all he wants that we wanted 4 players this summer, but ultimately we showed next to no intent to get whoever they were allegedly, in which case as a player, you wouldn’t get the vibes they really wanted you in the first place.

You'd think Sandy would have been here like a flash after Aurier's decent performance in Trippier's absence.

I am on holiday, so haven't been posting a lot, watched the match, and basically Spurs got mugged yet again. The defending of corners is criminal, and the constant rotation of the defence is finally coming home to roost for Poch. I swear if he changes the defence again this weekend, I will blow a gasket.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

What nonesense to excuse Levy of any blame. A ST would have been invaluable when Kane is off form and more importantly a CM that could control the game a bit more - deciding the tempo and killing off teams.

To suggest signing in those two areas wouldn't have made a difference is ridiculous. They would have added some change as well rather than a stagnant team which has won nothing going into another season knowing deep down they'll probably win nothing again.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Stop giving the players an excuse. They had the game there to win and they messed it up through bad play.

The game was under control. But we suddenly can’t defend a set piece with the same players who could last season. How the fack can levy be to blame for a player losing his marker
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Absolutely spot on, pretty well every opposition corner seems to result in a goal. Poch's constant rotation of the defence is finally showing it up for what it is. How are defenders supposed to play as a unit, when Poch is contantly change personnel. I said a while back it was a total nonsense, and I am being proved correct.

No, I just want to see the same defence for two games in a row, as bad as Davies was, Rose is not performing any better. Just leave alone.
