that's what I was thinking
Feel a bit for the bloke, but is that car quote a wind up? Why can’t he buy his own fecking whip
===========================
Why? He's making excuses about why he failed.
As you say that bit abut the car is pathetic, could of bought himself an aston martin if he really wanted.
The picture leaked of his daughter at the time was very attractive tbf

The final straw was Moyes sitting him down and showing him a video of Phil Jagielka nailing his daughter and telling him this is what he expects from him

So if he wasnt fking Moyes' daughter, why wasnt he playing him?
Whilst in Manchester he still found the time to do this:

Idiocy?
haven't read the article yet, but I bumped into him a few times in Croydon (mates of a mate) when he was at utd, so not sure how isolated he was. Plus on his money could he not have moved up some of his family or a friend up there with him. I know if I was on 50k a week i'd have my best mate as my agent or some such.

That was the year the 1st team squad all got new Chevrolets wasn't it? Its a little bit of a dig if they didn't get him one, he probably stole the one they gave to Scholes.
I said at the time it was more likely that at 19 moving away from his family and friends in London was the bigger issue. Its why he plays well at Crystal Palace and if he moves onto a bigger club its likely to be London based.

No, That was the season after.

Depends what your friends are like I guess. And what you are like.
But if you can give me 10 examples of athletes who's friend was a hanger on and destroyed their career I guess it would hold weight.

Just pointing out that it happens. More often than you think. I don't have time to research it for you, but you can google it yourself.
The Williams sisters have had issues with their dad controlling their empire is one off the top of my head.
Feel for the bloke!!
Seriously??
Not a fecking chance. Don't feel sorry for him in the slightest.

Nailed it.
I believe Ferguson did not allow the younsters to drive their own car. Whether or not the diabolical one (Moyes) followed this I don't know

Agree with Python.
I'm pretty sure Shaw had some hangers on when he moved up to Manchester, don't know if they have fecked off now.

I think the policy was that certain senior players had access to company cars. Younger players did not. They had to earn them. Was probably different later on in his time here as cars cost a couple of days wages.
I know he didn't want the younger players splashing out on super cars.
