I still think it was a good result last night, but I remember similar comments by Gers fans after our draw with Man City at the Etihad and when we played Bayern at Celtic Park last season, that it wasn’t their regular first team players that played.

You’re probably right-which is why it was poor form by Gers posters at the time to say we had played their reserve teams as well.

Yesterday it was Rangers have no chance against the team that finished 5th in La Liga last season. Roll forward a day and check the mantra now that we get a very good result

I would imagine a lot of people thought villareal to be a lot better team than what they showed last night....

thats the poorest ive seen them personally

on paper they are a good team, however, last night they were not good at all....

celtic was and still is stevie g's hardest opponents thus far.

both of the old firm teams got lucky last night imo

Joking aside everyone would know that’s a terrific result for Rangers.

Fs I’d snap a hand off for a draw away at a club like that in spain.

Trying to belittle good results for either side doesn’t do any good for what we’re trying to do on the European stage.
