Agree. Cahill has been a good servant to the club. Unfortunately for him, he does not suit Sarri's philosophy ,also he's in the wrong side of 30s, soon he'll be 33 years old. Lucky for the club Christensen and Ampadu are breaking through to the first team.

Wish him all the best in his future adventure, and hopes gets rewarded with a big contract elsewhere.

It was interesting to read Cahill's recent comments about Petr Cech's brilliant career move once Courtois became the main man at Chelsea. The fact that he's frank enough to admit that he'd be willing to engineer a move as early as January, probably means that his mind's already made up.

I realise he'd hate to swap one bench for another, but I'd have him at Arsenal. We seem to have adopted the Juventus model of signing up 30+ yr olds and squeezing a tonne of residual value out of them.

It might be 8-10 years too late after we facked it up with signing him, but he'd be guaranteed a fixed place in our Europa and domestic Cup lineups. He'd probably be good enough to nail a place in the main squad outright tbh.

I think he'd walk into 15 Premier sides back 3/4's...

He's that rare kind of defender with more than a couple of successful defensive partnerships under his belt.

He'd probably walk into any of the 20.

His 13/14 season very underrated, was great next to Terry. Even for 15/16 while an obvious weak link still did well in a position and style that had no right to suit him

Well Gary Cahill has been treated shabbily by Sarri this season. He should have started Europa League match in Greece and he should feature with Christensen in defence instead of Rudiger and Luiz as a central defensive partnership as part of back four for Chelsea!

One of the sad but inevitable events in the constantly changing evolution of football. He's been a great servant to the club and will always be a legend.

He's one of those players you get an emotional attachment to, because he seems to share the same love of the club that you do and you wish they could stay at the club forever in some sort of capacity.

Time moves on though and if this is to be his last season, hopefully he'll look back on his time here with fond memories

Our title winning back 5 in 14/15 was a combined £29m.

Courtois - £7m
Ivanovic - £7m
JT - Academy
Cahill - £8m
Azpi - £7m

Ridiculous when you consider the likes of VVD/Stones/Laporte/Kepa price tags alone.

Cahill scored several important goals in his time here, very dedicated and disciplined, I wish him all the best in his future endeavours.

I want Gary Cahill to stay this season at Chelsea and change the club next season.I really do love him as a Chelsea player and proudly supported him through thick and thin as a Chelsea player.
